I swear, if they broadcasted Laker practices, I'd probably watch almost all of them.

They'll probably be more competitive than some of our games this season.

Worthy brought up something I hadn't thought about in a question to Kobe. He asked him something like if it makes him feel more comfortable knowing Artest can come in when he goes out and be a similar minded player/player of similar intensity. I hadn't thought about that aspect of Artest being here. We actually have a guy now that has been a go to guy on multiple teams, he's no Kobe, but in regards to him being able to carry a team on offense he can be that guy. Before when Kobe was out of the game we don't have a guy even comparable to him out there, a guard that can create his own shot or carry the offense a bit. We have Pau and Odom, but somebody has to get them the ball and it's just different, this is very cool, 2 guys that can take over offensively on the same time.

^ Yeah, I've definitely thought about that. It might take some time for Phil to hammer out Ron's role in said substitution. Like I don't think Phil will want him going on a shooting spree, like he had to in Sac Town and in Houston (when Yao and T-Mac where MIA) and I think Ron knows that. But I do think there will need to be some defining as to what his exact role will be when Kobe sits.

It is reassuring that our offense won't sputter nearly as much though when Kobe sits. Artest is a more than capable scorer, defender, and passer. If he and Pau are still in the game or he and Drew (if Drew gets it together this year). That's VERY dangerous and will help rest Kobe's legs...not that Kobe needs rest now, but in the long run it will prolong his career.

- Reggie Miller said we'd break the 72 wins by the Bulls, but that we'd lose to "that team"

- I love the set offense and when the shot goes up, the 3 players are basically in a game of 21, but stop after 2 made baskets. Never seen that before

- A great segment. Glad to see NBATV run these prior to the season
