Anyone actually want to talk training camp?

I know people are pissed about the CP3 thing, but training camp IS open. You can follow live updates here

Apparently Blake added muscle and worked on his shooting and is making everything in practice.

First a slight disclaimer: everybody's J looks good in camp. That said, Steve Blake's is wet right now

Apparently there hasn't been too much action, mostly going over Brown's defenses.

Ya, still nice to have basketball back again despite whatever else is going on though, to me at least.

It is but it all seems so...muted.

It's like having a Mercedes, then getting a Bugatti, then getting that taken away from you and getting your Mercedes back with a fat dent.

The Mercedes engine was gutted and replaced with a refurbished one. Performance will suffer. :(

This is the only time I can remember where I haven't cared at all about Training Camp.

This CP3 thing and LO getting traded has driven me to the point where I don't even want to listen to Lakers/NBA news.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

^ Same here.We don't even have a complete roster so training camp is the least of my worries right now. I wish Mitch would hurry up and get some good players so they can practice before the season begins.

Has anyone been listening to the interviews? There's a real jack*** being a **** to everyone. Who the hell is that guy? I have very little patience for smart*** people and smart*** comments. The guy was giving everyone a hard time, I'd just ask him to leave.

You can be upset with the franchise, you can have hard hitting questions but you don't have to do it like a jerk.

^ Is it the game guy who was asking Mitch questions about the LO trade with a lot of attitude? And he would also interrupt Mitch while he was talking

yes that guy. he was also giving Kobe a really hard time, even trying to say at one point that he knew more about basketball than Kobe.

^ I have no idea how he became a reporter but if he keeps asking questions in that same manner he won't be in the business for long.

I saw that interview with Kobe. Kobe said he knew basketball better than that reporter, and the reporters said "that's debatable." I was stunned. Even if you don't like Kobe you have to admit he knows the game. I was like, who the heck is this guy talking to Kobe like that? What a jerk!

He just rolled his eyes which surprised me. But you could tell he was annoyed. He was short with the other reporters too afterwards.

That is TJ Simers, he wrote a laughable article about the Lakers not being likeable anymore without Odom, he's an ***hole, I have no idea why he covers the Lakers or how he has a job with the LA Times, he clearly hates Kobe and the Lakers.

Simers likes to stir the pot. I don't take him seriously. It's his schtick in order to be noticed.

Thomas and Goudelock to the Defenders today..... I don't think we should expect either of them to return either......

Goudelock is an odd case, he can shoot but he can't play the 1 or 2 effectively. It'll be interesting to see how the he progresses and whether or not he can actually play in the NBA. He had enough time to change his game in college (4 years) so we'll see if he can adapt.

^^His window of opportunity has just about closed. Next year the Lakers will have had time to close the holes at the 1 and 2 positions either in the draft or Free Agency. He will have to improve quite a bit to compete next year.
