Hawaii Trip (END: Kwame, Kobe, Phil, Buss)

Awesome pics Jauno, I love your shirt, "You're Number Juan". That convo with Phil was funny too, sounds like him alright. Also, not surprised Kobe drives his own car, hasn't he been doing that like forever? Not good for team chemistry IMO, but I don't think Kobe really cares about that much. Last night if you looked at his face he really didn't seem too enthusiastic about being there, on the bench he was shaking his head a lot and had a smirk on his face, and it didn't look like a good one. He was barely even watching the game or cheering for the young guys either, I looked for his reactions a lot. Could be cause it's a preseason game, could be because Lamar and Luke were out, I don't know, but I hope he starts caring when the first game of the season starts, and I think he will.

Story behind Kobe's picture: As he was walking to his car, I basically asked him, amongst a group of about 10 people, for a picture. He said only one picture, and I jumped right next to him and my cousin took the shot, and everyone else was left picture/autograph-less. Sad, I know, even Kobe's bodyguard was saying "ONLY ONE ONLY ONE!" Just happy I got it.

What's left?

-A new picture with Kwame (or else I'll just upload my old crappy one)
-Larry Turner
-Better picture of Phil
-Maybe some more coaches or Kareem
-Autographs

You bet he is. I've ran in to him about 10 different times this trip, and each time I've thrown a jab at him and he's thrown a jab back. If anyone remembers me from this trip, it'll probably be Phil (and Crittenton, Cookie, and Lamar - I've seen them the most this trip). This morning, he even came over and said hello to me and I asked if he thought I was crazy, and he said he's seen much worse. Then, later on, when I took that action photo, he waved afterword (missed it). He still refuses to take a picture with me, though.

He's hilarious. Just as sarcastic and blunt as he is with reporters.

It took hours and hours of waiting, so boring, but definitely worth it.

They stayed here two years ago and they signed a contract to stay here for awhile.

Were you wearing a U.H. cap today? I think I might've seen you.

I thought the picture quality would be so bad because I was using a digital zoom, but it turned out pretty nice I guess. Leica does price. I wish I would've gotten SLR though.

I'm going to take a lot more pictures tomorrow (Hopefully, not lazy enough).

Now I'm off to the airport and back to LA. Thankfully, I'll be home in time for the game tonight on KCAL!

Dude, you are a true fan. You hung in there and got the pics. I stopped asking ball players for pictures because of the bad attitudes I'd get. Even the scrubs would power trip sometimes. I have mad respect for you. A job well done!
