Knee braces for the rest of his career sounds like the right move to me.

I think it's a good idea. He'll get used to them and they might take care of any lingering thought that could creep into his head while he's out there. Just a little reassurance. I know wearing a brace after I hurt my knee helped physically but really came in handy mentally. Just kinda felt like it was a little sturdier (if that makes sense).

But when Karen Crouse of the New York Times, showed him a L.A. Times poll that asked whether his marriage would last, he stopped.
“If I were a garbage man and she worked at Burger King … but that’s not the case,” Odom said. “We just want people to understand and respect how we feel about each other.”

Broderick Turner of the LA Times Blog wrote:When he was approached for, oh, the 100th time, and asked to talk about his wedding for, oh, the 100th time, Lamar Odom rolled his eyes as the media followed him today at the Lakers' media day.
Odom didn't want to talk about getting married Sunday to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian. But the easy-going Odom relented, knowing he was going to keep being asked for, oh, 100 more times, about getting married.
He started by saying, "This event I had on Sunday."
Odom did talk about the Lakers trying to repeat as NBA champions.
He talked about winning his first NBA title, when the Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic in five games.
But so much still was about his wedding.
"It was real," Odom said about his wedding ceremony. "It's crazy how perception works in America when you're looking at things from the outside. 'It [the wedding] might be off, it might be on.' But anybody that was there will tell you that it was a beautiful event and it was real."

Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register Blog wrote:Here are a few quick snapshots from the Lakers’ gathering for the first time this season on the practice court to meet with reporters, although actual practice won’t begin until 5 p.m. today.
(Then there are two-a-day sessions scheduled for the next six days.)
Andrew Bynum declared himself 100 percent healthy — getting approval stamps from both his New York doctor and the Lakers’ team doctor — but said as a “preventative” measure he’ll for the rest of his career wear a brace over the right knee he injured last season. He is considering wearing one over the left knee he hurt the previous season, too, but hasn’t decided. He acknowledged that he loses some range of motion with the braces, which he wears only during basketball activity.
Both Sasha Vujacic and Pau Gasol got noticeable haircuts, but Gasol (who said of his recent workload: “I’m not too tired”) predicted he’ll grow his out into a shag again very soon. “I’m a little lazy as far as going to the barbershop,” he said, suggesting he bought himself an extra month this time. Vujacic, however, will keep his new up-spike ‘do, saying of his formerly long locks and headbands: “After watching the tape from last year, I was really playing with it too much.”
Then there was Lamar Odom, having moved to a new plateau of media attention since his wedding Sunday to Khloe Kardashian. He seemed a bit weary, not quite as bright a light as he usually is, but said: “I’m still Lamar.” In response to those who question the basis for his marriage because they’ve known each other for so little time, Odom said: “It was real. It’s crazy how perception works in America when you’re looking at things from the outside.”
