Ricky Rubio's father gave an interview after the draft stating that his son is now likely to stay in Europe for one or two years, rather than signing in Minnesota.

Yahoo! reports that a trade between the Knicks and Wolves to send Rubio to New York is likely. But later reports suggest that the Wolves are so far stating that they'll retain their rights to the Spanish point guard.

This sounds pretty cool:

http://www.hogville.net/yabbse/index.php?topic=231577.0

I'm at the Lebron Skills Camp and just finished watching the evening pick up game between Lebron and Chris Paul (and some college guys) against the college campers.....

Patrick Beverly was going head to head with Chris Paul (with Lebron James on his team). Beverly was running the point for the team of college guys and they won the first game and Paul was trying like hell to contain Patrick. The second game, Lebron was visibly frustrated as Beverly's team won again. Paul was playing serious D, but he couldn't stop Patrick from doing what he wanted.

I've seen a lot of these types of games in 13 years of scouting, and this was one of the best "surprise" performances of a guy like Patrick I've ever seen.

There were a number of college coaches watching the pick up game and most of them were convinced that Beverly could be an NBA point guard.

Just figured you guys would want to hear about it.

I LOVE how ESPN has not mentioned the Lakers yet

A 5 min commercial break for their pick, and then a blackout on the player taken
100 people see fire.
99 start screaming and getting hysterical over all the smoke.
I start looking for the cause.

Thorton to Miami, nice pickup Riles. Hopefully he doesn't have nearly as good of a rookie season as their last 2nd round pick.

Just like Mitch. He always does that.

Deron Williams - “I hate ’em, you know,” he said the other day. “I hate the Lakers. They’re so good. I hate them because they win all the time. They’re a tough team. … We definitely talk about it. It’s not a secret. We hate the Lakers.”

Supposedly Patrick Beverly averaged 36 ppg in high school in Illinois. http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p= ... id=1836265

No clue about him although I haven't followed this draft class much at all.

ONE MORE PICK! MAKE IT COUNT MITCH! :jam2: :man10:

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."
