Deron Williams - “I hate ’em, you know,” he said the other day. “I hate the Lakers. They’re so good. I hate them because they win all the time. They’re a tough team. … We definitely talk about it. It’s not a secret. We hate the Lakers.”

Is Kahn trying to be a standup comedian on the side? He's not getting any laughs.

Beverley is better than Mills. There is no reason to think the "dude won't play a minute in the NBA." He was much better in college than Fisher was at UALR for what that is worth which isn't much, but at least I have seen him play countless games and can speak from having seen him play. Shannon Brown isn't getting 3 million or anywhere close to that in this economy. I would take Shannon over Patrick if I had to choose. Not sure I wouldn't take Patrick over jordan though.

The only good players from this years draft is going to be...

1) Ricky Rubio
2) Demar Derozen
3) Jrue Holiday

And that goes with my theory that you gotta have a cool flowing name to become a superstar. :man10:

Think about it,

all the superstars have names that are unique or really easy flow to it. Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Carmelo, Shaquille, Lebron, Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, Igadoula.
And then you got your role players with simple names like Kenny smith, robert horry, derek fisher.

Even last years draft, only the cool sounding names were studs: OJ Mayo, Derrick Rose

So when you say a player like James Harden (third pick), you already know he's going to be a bust. :man12:

I dont know wat im talkin about. bored today. draft wasnt as fun this year. lol

Mavs take Nivins, good pick for them. I thought he was the best player left 9-10 picks ago.

I have to say about Beaveryly, that i am intriuged to see him play in the Summer league.

Lakers already have one bad Euro (Sasha) and one good euro (Gasol)

We do not need any more euros... at least, until we trade sasha

PDcavsinsider: Eyenga said the Cavs gave him no indication they were going to draft him. He just came to MSG hoping to get picked by someone.

Haha, that's just funny.

Beverley burst onto the scene at Arkansas, becoming the only player in school history to earn Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year honors. He was also the first player in Razorbacks annals to be named Associated Press SEC Newcomer of the Year.

His sophomore was a bit of a different story. While he became the shortest player in school history to lead the team in rebounds during the season (231 for a 6.6 per-game average in 2007-08), but the season was marred by inconsistent play. Beverley experienced a turbulent year off the court, which led to him eventually leaving the university. Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey disciplined Beverley multiple times during his sophomore season. He was suspended for an exhibition game in Cancun, Mexico, for missing the team bus, and he missed the Red-White Game for academic reasons.
