2011 Draft Lottery

Cleveland just got the first pick and the fourth pick, good for them honestly.

Great win for them following Bron leaving them empty handed. Not exactly a strong draft, but they's some good PGs in the lottery.

Apparently the pick that ended up being #1 was the one that Cleveland got from the Clippers in the Baron Davis-Mo Williams trade.

The Clippers could've had a core of Irving/Gordon/Griffin

The reason the Cavs got 2 lottery picks is because of the Clippers. The number 1 pick was the Clippers pick, but they traded it for Mo Williams.

Well you couldn't ask for a better way to rebuild then with two top lottery draft picks.

Kyrie Irving and Enes Kanter, not a bad start for the Cavs.

If Fredette is still there at 12, I'm betting the Jazz take him.

And Wolves at 2. For some reason I think they'll take yet another PG. Why? Cause Kahn is an idiot and then they can land their 9th eligible PG for the roster.

We should get Ramon Sessions for the TPE!!! He's not a great PG but I think he's better than whom we have and whats available in FA, he's a very good passer and seems to be kind of lost in Cleveland

Wouldn't be opposed to that at all. But the Cavs will likely use their amnesty clause on Baron, especially after landing where they did in the lottery. Still not sure where that leaves Sessions though.

Some Cleveland fans on RealGM are proposing Varejao/4 for Bynum.

If you could swing that #4 pick else where for a talent it gets really intriguing. Still, I can't do it.

It's certainly interesting to think about. Defensive hustle big and the ability to get a potential young star player or flip the pick (possibly with a bad contract) for that PG we desperately need?

It's not horrible at all. I just can't trade a 7 footer like that for anything outside of D12 or a stud PG.

Derrick Williams or Kyrie Irving would've been lethal additions to the young upcoming Clippers.

i agree. even if we could land Varejao/#1 i would still probably turn it down. and i'm not even a Bynum fan.

I don't know if I could turn that down with Andrew's injury history. It's a thin draft, but damn...

if i'm Cleveland i would go with Derrick Williams. he's freakishly athletic, and a freakishly good shooter for his size. then draft the best available at 4 whether it's one of the good point guards, or euro bigs.

From what I've read the guy has IMMENSE potential. He doesn't go past the Raptors at 5 IMO. They need size so bad.

A lot of potential, he's still pretty raw though. His wingpan is INSANE. It all depends on how old he is though, which people don't know right now. Some accounts say he could be as old as 23-26.

Needs to go somewhere where they can spoon feed him offensively and have a offensive big man. So that means Cavs (1, 4), Utah (3, 12), Bucks (10), Suns (13).

I think Jazz would be the best fit for him with Jefferson and Harris in place. Cavs could look at him at #4, if they pass on the Turk. I think Skiles would like his potential defensively at 10. And while Robin Lopez isn't an offensive weapon for a big, having Nash there for a little while longer would make his life very easy.

I think Baron is laughing is his butt off at Sterling right now. That trade was a total "eff you Baron, hope you freeze your arse off in Cleveland" move by Sterling.
