Blazer magic at 5...and a 6'6 guy at point?

Trail Blazers Brandon Roy SG Washington
Portland doesn't necessarily need Roy, having already pegged Martell Webster as their two guard of the future, but will still take the best player available. We've heard rumors that the Lakers love Roy, so don't be surprised if an L.A./Portland trade goes down sometime in the near future.

26. Lakers Richard Roby SG Colorado
Behind Redick, Roby was arguably the best shooter in college basketball last year, and the Lakers could definitely use someone who can knock down shots. Plus, at 6-6, Roby handles the ball and passes well enough to maybe even play the point in the triangle.

I feel that trade between Lakers and Blazers are coming...
There was rumor that Darius Miles + Blake is coming to LA for Mihm, Cook and Mckie.
And now #4 pick would be included...

A complete raping of Portland IMO, if we got any combo of Blake + Miles + 4 Pick for Mihm and change + 26. :man13:

Not a bad trade, but don't you think for that kind of bait we can get Boozer?

Portland would be nuts to do that trade. It would definitely be nice for the Lakers though. I'm always skeptical of trade rumors with teams within your division. I always feel better about rumors that involve the eastern conference with the western conference.

-i agree...Portland would be dumb to do that trade...maybe that is why they don't have a gm right now.

ahhh but you guys forgot. the BLAZERS HATE MILES! are LOOSING MONEY DAY TO DAY. don't really want another rookie guard as they already have about 20. Joel Prizibilla isn't for sure to come back next year.

they want to drop big contracts, want to drop players they don't like. thats all miles.

they don't want to hold on to blake... they are going to have to give him a nice contract along with extensions for webster and telfair. they have dixon and jack for cheap. they are what they are... back ups. but blake? the guy is starting material. they don't want to invest their whole cap into guards. they need big men.

they get mihm, cook, and mckie, throw in the 26th and they can draft another big man. the blazers are set with guards for the next ten years.

this trade will happen.

Not really, Portland needs to dump miles and his salary. No teams are standing in line for him. Blake is expendable. I don't think they want our 26th pick they have # 30 and enough young players. Finally they need cheap veteran big men. Mihm,Cook,Mckie, and next years bobcat 2nd rounder will get it done. You heard it here first.

portland wants miles out and i think they'll entertain any offer to get a big man in return. they're full of guards and need big men to complement their young gore of guards.

I can understand that, but Portland has to realize that they are just making the Lakers better. Which means that is another team that they will not be able to compete with. (for whatever reason they played well against us the last season.) I guess Miles must have been a real nightmare for the Blazers.
