Florida State forward Chris Singleton announced Wednesday afternoon that he will forgo his senior season and enter the NBA draft. He has not yet hired an agent but plans to in the coming weeks.
"I'd like to say that I am entering the NBA draft this year," Singleton said.
According to draft projection site nbadraft.net, Singleton is a likely first-round selection. He could go as high as 22nd overall.
The Atlanta-area native helped lead the Seminoles to three straight NCAA tournaments, including a Sweet 16 appearance this past season. FSU lost to Virginia Commonwealth in overtime to end its run.
Singleton's final season had its share of difficult moments, after a foot injury sidelined him for nearly two months. He returned just in time for postseason play to finish the year averaging 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds.
