Dexter Pittman

Does anyone on this Laker Site, Like the Idea of the Lakers selecting Dexter Pittman with the 43 pick in today's Draft? Andrew Bynum is always injured. Pittman would be used as insurance, just in case Bynum gets hurt again. I think it would be a steal if Pittman is available at 43!

That's not a bad idea Dexter, but the Lakers need guards right now.

Whoever the Lakers have in mind...they better keep it to themselves.

Regardless, this has to be one of the worst drafts in years.

^ Disagree. I think there's a lot of role players in this draft, even into the second round, that could be very servicable. There's just not many, if any, real stars.

No. Basically it's a great draft for the good teams and a terrible draft for the bad ones. The Lakers could definitely use a couple of good role players and with this draft, that's definitely possible.

Possible, but not likely.

- Worst case we get some training camp fodder that we don't have to sign to guaranteed contracts.

- Best case, we discover a diamond in the rough would plays some key second unit minutes for us.

- Most likely: something in between. Maybe another project we park in Europe for a couple of seasons. Or a glorified D-Leaguer who sits at the end of the bench like Ammo and DJ.

This draft sucks.

Compared to drafts in the past, this one's pretty deep. Upper tier teams have a chance to really get a gem in the 2nd round.

i don't know ...this guy has weight problems...i could see him blowing up to Oliver Miller size if he isn't watched carefully

I like the idea of spending one of the second rounders on Pittman. Add some beef to the front lines. Could be the Lakers version of Glen Davis perhaps.

There could be some finds in the second round. I like Da'Sean Butler as a SG/SF guy that can shoot. Sherron Collins is a guy that could develop at PG along with Denis Clemente from KSU.

I think they can get guards thru FA, unless a Willie Warren or Mikhail Torrance is there a Dexter Pittman or Jerome Jordan sounds goood to me if they are there.

i don't like pittman, concerned about his weight.

we need to get athletes. we haven't drafted an athlete in a while it seems.
