DraftExpress : Heard that they "promised" Julyan Stone. Not sure I buy that, but its out there. RT @ArtG44: Do you know who has worked out for the Lakers? about 10 hours ago

Mitch is a bigger idiot than I thought if he does this. The kid shot 25% from 3pt range and put up 8 pts a game. No. 41 are you kidding? He is not even rated in the top 100 prospects on Draftexpress. Ben Hansbrough is ten times the player this guy is and I could come with at least 60 other guys. The Lakers could pick him up a free agent after the draft because he would not have been even drafted. :bang:

It's a second round pick. We have four of them this season... he's a tall PG who seems like a hard worker. He has a 6'10'' wingspan. Why not take a risk?

Thanks JSM, I actually read that right after you posted this thread.

Pros from that write up:
- Diversity. He's a very big PG and he's played some inside positions.
- Pass first. The kid wasn't the best scorer, but that many assists can't lie.

Cons
- Shooting. He's a passer, not a shooter. Can he develop that three ball?

When he makes a sting of detrimental decisions? I'm sure you didn't complain about our winning back to back titles based on Mitch's deals, right?

The Lakers won back to back because of Kobe not Mitch. The Lakers won in spite of Mitch not because of him. Giving Walton a five year deal and Fisher two is still killing the Lakers. Don't talk to me about Gasol because that deal was all West and everyone knows it. A no. 1 pick plus Sasha for .....Joe Smith and then it was a month too late. Yea Mitch is a f...ing genius.

i think the lakers have earned a little latitude in terms of second round picks. in recent years, they've gotten wafer, turiaf and ebanks in the second round. i'm willing to let things play out before i cheer or condemn a pick.

and i'll certainly wait until an actual pick is made.
