Draft Express: T. Thomas' agent worried about mock draft

Draft Express: T. Thomas' agent worried about mock draft

:man10: This is funny, but pathetically sad on the part of Tyrus' camp.
Draft Express: Tyrus Thomas’ agents Brian Elfus and Mike Siegel invited DraftExpress to attend a workout on Friday in Orlando, but have rescinded their invite due to differences in opinion regarding the draft stock of their star client. Citing (via text message) the fact that the Thomas camp is “not happy with [Draftexpress] having Tyrus 7th,” and saying that we “need to adjust that ASAP,” Elfus and Siegel have shut DraftExpress out of watching their client and possibly coming to a different conclusion.

haha..I've never seen what the big deal is, when it comes to where you are drafted.

''Oh no, I'm projected to go 7th, now I wont be able to play my best basketball''.

and? you'll still get paid a good salary and the later you go in the draft (1st round), the better the team you will be on.

Its strange that guys dont want to play on good teams straight away.

What's worse is that they assume the GMs draft based on a websites predictions :man10: :man10: :man10:

That hurts his stock more than ANYTHING DraftExpress could write about him...

This stuff might seem funny but websites that cover the draft has to be careful. Just last year Draftexpress went by a different name and was forced to kill the website over the way they supposedly misrepresented the words of an agent.

Yeah, I can understand that. But a mock draft...we're talking about a mock draft. Their opinion on who will be picked where based on what they've seen and based on the team's need.

Who gives a flying fart about what a mock draft says. To concern yourself that much with a mock draft really concerns me about that player or at least the people he has around him.

Oh no! I just checked the mock draft thread here. PBH has him going 3 and Gamecock has him going 5. Quick guys, go and change it before his agents come whining to you, as well.

It's BS.
Those predictions doesn't affect draft picks in 1st round and I don't think Tyrus will drop to only 7th pick.

Most of these guys are just worried about the money because they know they might not be as good as with people say about them....

TYRUS THOMAS IS A STUD. HE IS 6'9 AND CAN JUMP OUT OF THE BUILDING. WHEN HE RETIRES THEY SHOULD RETIRE HIM TO STUD LIKE THEY DO WITH HORSES PUT HIM ON RANCH WHIT A TON OF WOMEN AND HAVE IMPREGNATE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

Draftexpress's mock is funky right now, but I've never heard of an agent caring too much about them! :man10:

When looking at the mock drafts and seeing the mass speculation into player X’s ability versus Player Y’s shortcomings, it is amazing how little these rankings may mean in the long run, yet how ardently they are scrutinized over. In 4 years time, when rookie contracts are expiring and the real money is being laid on the table, is it going to matter if Tyrus Thomas was projected at number 7 overall by DraftExpress.com on May 23rd , 2006?
