Gibson and Shannon Brown are not entering the draft this year. Gibson had a horrible season. Shannon Brown should develop his PG skills and take more of a role next year as Maurice Ager is leaving.

Next year? If people thought this year's draft was weak, next year's will be weaker.

My friend, I hope you are kidding. Next year may be the strongest draft since 96 if enough Class of 2006 high school kids leave after their freshman years (Oden, Wright, Arthur, Young, etc).

Yes, you are correct. They will probably be the #1 and #2 picks of 2008 unless something crazy happens. Mayo is the next great guard. So, getting the #1 pick in 2007 and 2008 will be absolutely huge since Oden will be there in 2007.

Bubble 1st rounder as now--he seems to improving a bit though, and a team might fall for his athleticism and defensive ability, after seeing the level of success Ruben Patterson, Fred Jones and even Dwyane Wade (to an extent) has had in this league. He still needs to show a better jumpshot though.

reminds me a little of josh howard, personally. his shot has the potential to come around (decent mechanics). and he plays much bigger than 6'4". i'd probably take a late first round flier on him. zona tends to develop solid pros. he's got the body and athleticism to play at the next level.

Draft is fairly deep in the late 1st round-early 2nd round--many players are trying to jockey for position to get that guaranteed contract. Honestly I think Hassan Adams is the odd man out--with all his athleticism, he still lacks a jumpshot. This draft seems to filled with undersized athletic players--Mo Ager, Shannon Brown, Guillermo Diaz, Curtis Stinson, Will Blalock, etc. Honestly I don't know if Hassan has much of a chance because his improvement, skill set and off-the-court problems are all question marks.

He used to intrigue me in the past with that aforementioned athleticism, but I'm not that high on him anymore.

Another guy by the name of Jaber Rouzbahani from Iran tried to get into the draft simply by his height last year. Didn't work.

Steele's not leaving. Great all-around improvement, especially with regards to his shooting and offensive game, but this draft seems to be filled with point guards and Steele can definitely use another year to hone his all-around skills. A future 1st round prospect though.

I was expecting big things from Augustine this year, and he did do some damage. It's just that...his game doesn't seem to translate well to the NBA. He's somewhat to the soft side, tries to go for the finesse move all the time, and needs to show more selfishness and a definite killer instinct. His defense is questionable for the NBA as his athleticism and physical tools is just average. Honestly I think there are better big men which can be attained by free agency, and he hasn't had the best showings in the predraft camp. His stock is slowly going downwards. Honestly I'd place him in the 2nd round bubble as of now.

I like Gansey as well. I watched the WV vs. UCLA game and I like his relaxed, paced sort of game. He hustles, has great hands to nab steals, plays smart, and is a good shooter. Just a very sound, ready-made-for-the-NBA sort of player.

However, scouts have concerns about the amount of potential he has, how he would look outside of WV's system, and his lack of height and athleticism for the much-needed SG position. I think Gansey will still make noise in the NBA, but he definitely has some obstacles. Nonetheless I like his overall game and I have currently placed him as a mid-2nd rounder.
