Jordan Farmar & Aaron Alfalo?

I know those 2 declared for the draft but didn't hire an agent to have there eligibilty to come back 2 UCLA. Does anyone know more Info on them to this day? R they leaving for sure? Did they withdraw?

I think Farmar will probably stay in the draft, he's getting a lot of interest.

AA on the other hand, is sucking it up in his workouts, he'll probably return for another year at college.

The L.A. Times is saying Farmar is almost certain to leave L.A. They say he performed very good at Orlando and is considered by some the best PG in the draft.

Yeah, Farmar played fairly well at the predraft camps, showing nice passing skills and even doing a 180? dunk in pregame warmups to show off his athleticism. He's impressed many scouts with his natural point guard skills and his ability to improvise. Really a lock for the 1st round now, and perhaps even a late lotto/mid-1st rounder.

As for Afflalo, all signs indicate he's going back to UCLA for another year, which he definitely needs. He didn't even attend the predraft camp and was not that impressive in individual workouts. Afflalo simply lacks a standout attribute for the NBA that makes him appealing, with decent athleticism, decent height, decent speed, and just a solid overall game. His defense and shooting have potential but he needs another year at UCLA to reinforce those strengths. Especially since Farmar's most likely gone, he really has an opportunity to shine. He has a possibility of the mid-2nd to undrafted if he enters this year.

Yeah, I hope AA returns. I'd be all right if we got Farmar. Could be a good Andre Miller type pg.

I definitely don't want either of them anywhere near the Lakers. Farmar, IMHO, will be a bust. I watched a lot of UCLA games this year and didn't see what everyone was talking about with him. I think he is an average pg. I would not be happy at all if we ended up with Farmar.

farmar is definitely not an "average point guard".....while he may never be an all-star in the NBA, he will be a solid starter. He's an above average scorer for a point guard, but the thing that sets him apart is his leadership and passing skills. IMO, he's the purest point guard in the draft. plus, he's a proven winner. he won the state title at Taft and then led UCLA to the national championship game this year (in which he was the only bruin to play well).....

so while you'll probably get your wish about him not playing for the lakers.....he's definitely going to be a solid pro point guard

I don't think the word definitely could be used in a projection. I'm sorry if I didn't see much when I saw him. I was not alone in my thinking as several folks that I watch the games with agreed.

On top of that, I'm a diehard UCLA fan, so it is not that I have something against him, I just cannot see him being a great nba pg.

he's bench, not starter material.

Yep... I played against him in a pick up game right before he began his freshman year at UCLA and I can't imagine him being good on the NBA level.

Then again, maybe he's improved

I used to love watchign he and Nick play. I really hope Nick can have a break out year this year. I always thought Nick would be the first one to get in the league.

Yeah I read that this morning..AA is heading back to UCLA..Theres no way this guy was going in the first round.
