Lakers pick this year

Lakers pick this year

Postby Magics80sLakersGOAT on Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:05 pm

Mock draft at MSNBC shows this...

29. Lakers Patrick Mills PG 6-0 180 St. Mary's
Jordan Farmar isn't the point guard of the future in L.A., giving Mills a legitimate shot at being taken by the soon-to-be-crowned World Champions.

This guy was good in the Olympics, I liked him alot. I'd be estatic to get him. But we really don't have a spot for him.

Here's a vid of him.

If the Lakers pick someone, it's probably and should be an international player so they can stay overseas. Mitch wants to keep 13 players on the roster, so the draft pick isn't going to play anytime soon.

Rodrique Beaubois

Hard to say, could be a good player.

He fits the bill as a potential long term PG fit for the lakers.
He is 6'2, and has a wingspan of almost 6'10.
He will be over seas for at least one more season.
He has range on his game.

I think he would be a good fit for the triangle.
100 people see fire.
99 start screaming and getting hysterical over all the smoke.
I start looking for the cause.

Concern yourselves with the Problems, not the Symptoms.

I'd be pissed if

1) We sell the pick for cash

2) Pick some idiot who's under contract in Europe and he stays there for 2 years or whatever and we never get to see him

Either is more than likely going to happen because Mitch wants to keep 13 guys on the roster and we have 13 now, assuming everyone is brought back.

I'll take Patty Mills. I guess Tyler Hansborough won't be there when we pick, but early mock drafts have him falling to 2nd round. I would love to pick up a banger/scrapper to toughen us up. He would be the perfect replacement for Ronny T.
