Saw it on Espn bottom ticker. It's being reported by Ric Bucher.

lol Bucher, keep the Laker name out of your mouth
Dwight, what's your decision. Dwight Howard - In this fall, this is very tough, in this fall I'm going to take my talents to Hollywood and join the Los Angeles Lakers

In all seriousness though, perhaps it is to
1) dangle to Orlando, or
2) to snag Nolan Smith late in the 1st who had a 'great' workout for LA

Cool. 4 second rounders is a bit much.

Use the 41st pick to draft Ben Hansbrough, he will be better than Jimmer and a steal in the second round:

I believe the rumor. We have 4 second round picks, that is way too many, I can't see us keeping more than one especially considering we have 2 from last year. I can see Mitch at least trying to bundle picks to move up though.

i can't see why of all drafts you'd try to trade into the first round of this year's class

it's a weak class unless you're desperate for a euro player

Trade 2 of the 2nd rounders this year and 2 future firsts for Orlando's first with Dwight. Give them #46 and #56.

A late 1st, 1 early second, and a late 2nd, and Dwight plus fillers.

That's cool.

*EDIT: I just saw that Orlando doesn't have a 1st rounder. Nevermind.

Orlando would say "why are we giving a 1st?". The second and 2 firsts are the price of admission in any D12 conversation

If it's by means of trading up with our existing picks....yeah sure go for it. But if we're giving up real/tangible assets to do it....just say no. This shallow draft class just does not warrant the risk.

Use all four of the second rounders. The Lakers need some more youth on the bench. Fisher and Walton are washed up. There are some quality athletes in the second round that could learn from the vets and be ready to contribute in two years. Ben Hansbrough could play next year off the bench.

You think there going to trade even all 4 of our 2nd rounders for a single 1st rounder? Not unless they throw in a player also. Wonder who they like.... Mitch is hit and miss on draft picks, kinda inconsistant.

If we can move up to the 20's, we can get Reggie Jackson. He's supposed to be the best defender of all PG's in this draft. He's compared to Rajon Rondo - good athlete, good defender, poor shooter. We could use a defensive PG with our new coach and system.

If we move into the late 1st, I hope it's for Charles Jenkins.

Could they be after Malcom Lee out of UCLA late in the first round. Very athletic.

I know that are some guys that maybe could step in next season, a PG or maybe a shooter, but I would love to have Mirotic. It might take a couple of seasons for him to come over, but he can play!
