Talk about dog luck though. You sell off every major piece of your team that just wasn't clicking in Jamison, Butler and Haywood and you land the #1 pick. If they didn't have to deal with Gilbert's contract they'd be in decent shape to rebuild. I think my greatest concern would be getting Wall, Arenas and Blatche to get along. Wall comes off as a very cocky and arrogant type of player which often makes for a good leader and PG, but then how does Gilbert take it? And Blatche...if you haven't seen the stat wh0re's failed attempt at a triple double, check out the youtube video. lol.

Wizards have already come out and said they're not moving their pick this year and that was before they landed the #1 spot. No chance they deal Wall. They'll try desperately to move Arenas. Whether they can succeed...who knows. They will have a nice hunk of cap space though. So that could help unload Arenas by taking on a few not so attractive contracts and they have a nice chunk of cap space too. Should be an interesting summer in DC.

EDIT : Any one know when the last team with the worst record in the NBA got the #1 pick.

I think it was Cleveland is 2003 or Orlando is 2004.

I think the Wizards can deal Arenas to the New York Knicks for Eddy Curry's expiring K. They can def find a taker for Arenas, just a team that has an expiring K that desperately needs star power. The Wizards are in very good shape to rebuild. BUT say they DO take turner....Arenas Turner Thornton Blatche Mcgee...ok thats still a [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] team. THey need to take Wall and deal Arenas, simple as that.

OMG. If Lebron goes to NY, Gilbert is dealt for Curry+others, T-Mac is resigned for less and all that NY can muster is Amar'e (provided he agrees to play alongside T-Mac who apparently he's in a pissing contest with) or Boozer, I am going to lol all the way to the bank. The Knicks will become 2011's Cavaliers with a bunch of washed up or Tier 2 players for Lebron to play alongside. :man10:

Now that I think of it, Arenas can slide to the 2, and Wall can be the PG of that team. I just hope the Wiz don't stunt his growth by keeping livingston, boykins AND Foye. They need to re-sign one of the 3..i think Livingston would be a nice back up for them...but damn it I just want the Lakers to get Randy Foye. He would be PERFECT in the triangle!!!! Him or Raymond Felton. Straight up.

^ foye can be a shooting guard also, possibly livingston but definitely not boykins
