moving up in draft while still keeping odom

you guys think we can move up to a lottery pick without trading odom? im thinking a team like minnesota, where they already have their all star (kevin garnett), "sidekick" (ricky davis), experience (blount, madsen, hudson) and other rising young players (mccants,griffin,reed,etc.). they are just a few solid players away from making the playoffs. they can still add young players with their 36th and 37th picks

lakers trade:
parker
cook
mihm

wolves trade:
6th pick

aldridge/bargnani/thomas (in order, whoevers avaliable) with 6th pick
shannon brown with 26th pick
justin williams with 51st pick


scenario:

pg-banks/brown
sg-bryant/rush/vujaic
sf-odom/walton
pf-aldridge/turiaf/williams
c-brown/bynum

reserves: wafer/green/profit

PIPE man.. the yippinpuppies wouldn't do this deal. And for damn sure they would require our #26, if in their fevered state they actually agreed to this.

i was just making a suggestion about the twolves because i want to move up in the lottery without trading odom. make ideas about getting a lottery pick w/o trading odom instead of crapping all over my ideas. if you dont like my idea, then dont worry about posting about them.

There's no way Aldridge will be available at number 6. I don't even think he'll go below number 2.

Your best bet is to trade with teams that have 2 picks like the Hornets. Im sure theyll be intrested in a package involving Mihm for one of theirs.

Something like Mihm + future second rounder for Hornets 12th.

Package the 12 + 26 for a higher pick...say Minnesota's 5th.

Draft Roy and we all are happy.

We won't waste another year into learning process. Smush has 1 year triangle experience, while Banks and Brown it would be first year.

the 3 players you list as the lakers drafting at 6 are the top 3 players that will probably get drafted first.

If you create a post, you have to take the good with the bad responses.

No way I can see us going lottery. The best deal would be Mihm/26th for Duhon/16th.

1. The only way the Lakers can get into the lottery and keep Odom is a Bynum deal.
