Probballdraft : The Cavs would like a young veteran like Al Horford, Josh Smith, or Rudy Gay but the 4th pick doesn't have that much value.

Probballdraft: Cavaliers will draft Kyrie Irving 1st but will try to make a deal for 2nd pick to select Derrick Williams. Trading out of 4 is a possibility

Probballdraft: From the sound of things @thenyknicks have a deal on the table to trade picks w/ @indianapacers depending on whose available.

TheHoopsReport: Whether they stay put at No. 4 and acquire another pick, or trade down, the Cavs would like a pick in the 10-19 range. More than 1 target.

TheHoopsReport: Cavs will draft Kyrie Irving #1 and are trying to trade #4 pick. This is nothing new. I, and others, have been reporting this for a while.

Probballdraft : Very real scenario being discussed in Cleveland. @Cavs trade #4 pick to @WashWizards for 6th & Wiz take Kanter. CLE would want 18 too.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo wrote:With an eye on drafting Arizona’s Derrick Williams, the Indiana Pacers have discussed a package including center Roy Hibbert and the 15th pick for the Minnesota Timberwolves’ second overall pick, league sources said. Nevertheless, the overture hasn’t gained traction in Minnesota.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo wrote:Houston continues to offer the 14th and 23rd picks in the draft to move into the top 10, and could have a willing partner with the Detroit Pistons at No. 8. The Pistons have told teams they won’t trade down until they see who drops to them on draft night, sources said. In what could be an interesting window into the Pistons’ preferences, San Diego State forward Kawhi Leonard worked out for Detroit on Monday, and shortly thereafter cancelled his Wednesday workout with the Milwaukee Bucks, who have the 10th pick. Several executives believe Leonard may have left Auburn Hills with a guarantee.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo wrote:Perhaps no player is rising faster than Georgia Tech’s Iman Shumpert, who is suddenly on the Phoenix Suns’ short list at No. 13. The Nets have had a strong interest in him, and he could be the player they’re trying to move up from No. 27 to get.

Wow, a little surprised the Suns would be willing to move Lopez at all.

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:With the Timberwolves asking for "the moon" for this pick, one NBA executive said, it’s been difficult for them to find realistic trade options. That could change once they’re actually on the clock, but for now it looks like Williams will be joining Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio in a Timberwolves jersey.

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:The Kings are looking for help at both point guard and small forward, but aren’t in love with anyone in this draft, as they’d much rather find immediate help in the form of a veteran. This pick could be available, with the front office and coaching staff under fire to improve the team as much as possible.

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:The Bucks don’t seem to be in love with anyone in the draft where they’re picking, and have reportedly been one of the most active teams on the trade market over the past week or so. They seem to be willing to use this pick to help improve their salary-cap situation in advance of the new labor agreement, namely by ridding themselves of the contract of Corey Maggette.

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:While Daryl Morey and co. don’t appear to be all that excited with anyone in this draft – they’re heavily exploring moving this pick in exchange for a 2012 first, sources said

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:The Pacers are also heavily involved in numerous trade scenarios and could be active on draft night depending on how things pan out. They seem to have quite a bit of urgency to improve as much as possible in advance of next season, clearly looking to transition to win-now mode.

Jonathan Givoy of Draft Express wrote:Davis Bertans is rumored to have a promise at No. 29 from San Antonio

I can't remember any recent draft where so many of the picks have been put on the trade block.

AlexKennedyNBA : The Spurs are expected to move #29. Plenty of teams are interested in acquiring it on draft night, but only if their guy is available.

AlexKennedyNBA: The Chicago Bulls are trying to package their two first-round picks - #28 and #30 - to move up. They're talking to a few teams in the teens.

^ Hopefully he keeps dropping and the Lakers can buy his pick.

Obviously, this is all pipe, but good holy bonkers that'd be awesome.

lakerswiz wrote:How often do these guys run full 5's in these workouts? Kemba seems to be dropping, but isn't he just going through drills and some one on one?

Depends on what the team wants vs. what the player and his agent are willing to put the player through. It's more 1 on 1, 2 on 2, or 3 on 3. A lot of teams aren't going to bring in 10 players on one day. The last time some of these prospects played 5-5 was during the big workouts in Minny and DC or the combine in Chicago.

Bryan (Denver): Any insight on the Lakers possible selections and trades?

Chad Ford (2:02 PM): Should be a solid guard prospect left between Norris Cole, Nolan Smith, Malcolm Lee, Shelvin Mack and Charles Jenkins. I bet one of their picks comes from that pool.
