Raptors and Cats to swap picks?

Postby JSM on Tue Jun 13, 2006 7:04 am

Real GM: DraftExpress.com - According to DraftExpress.com, the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Bobcats are talking about a trade where the top pick in the draft goes to Charlotte along with Alvin Williams for the third pick and Brevin Knight.

It is being suggested that teams are looking to move up to the top spot to select Adam Morrison.

Yeah, Morrison has been shooting lights out. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Toronto will still end up with their man and a starting PG. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I were Toronto. Is Charlotte really that worried that Morrison won't be there? If so, they must have some inside info that someone will move into #2 to pick him up. Otherwise, I had always assumed he would be there at #3.

Could it be us with Chicagos pick??

I think it'd good move for both teams.
Toronto gets good PG while keeping very high pick. And Bobcats get #1 pick and they can pick what they want.

Raptors and Cats to swap picks?

Toronto knows Mike James won't be there next season, instead they will get Knight who doesn't score that much but he does a lot of assists, he will get the Ball to Bosh a lot more. Props to Colangelo :jam2: :jam2:

Doubt it.

Toroto would be lethal if they did this deal.

You put an assist machine with two athletic big bodies Bosh and Charlie. If they go out and get Rudy Gay....then you have

Knight
Peterson
Gay
Charlie
Bosh.

That is a very athletic and talented frontcourt.
Strikemode14 is the greatest.

yes but they are soft. Bosh can´t defend, nor can Charlie V.

Brian Colangelo is honestly a GREAT GM. He is going to turn Toronto into a strong playoff team by next year.

Much like he did in Phx he is building a team around a big (Amare and now Bosh). He has a very talented PF/SF and is adding to that. Knight was a leader in the category of APG and wpuld be an ideal PG for Tor until they find their Nash. With that trade he can draft either roy, gay or aldridge or even thomas

Morrison has Larry Bird type talent and potential...

Wally doesn't...

sometimes I feel like all of you have never seen guys from the 80s like Bird, Magic and MJ play...

How can you say Morrison has Bird-esque potential? seriously there is no freakin way. Bird was one of the greatest players in NBA history, Morrison isn´t even a sure top 3 pick in the weakest draft of the millenium.

No, he doesn´t have any Bird-like upside.
