Roy and the Lakers

Roy and the Lakers

Postby Das on Tue Jun 06, 2006 11:22 am

Brandon Roy has envisioned himself wearing the uniforms of the ..... Lakers

Phil Jackson and others met with Roy they suggested they might trade up for him.

So what do you guys think of Brandon Roy again? I dont know how good he is, never really seen him play.

I'd love to get him. He'd fit well into our system and I wouldn't mind trade Mihm to get higher pick.

I want him. I'd like Foye more though. I think he's AI Jr.
Gawd, I wish something would go down today, I hate waiting.
EDIT: This is great news, though. Let's make a splash this offseason, and make a tsunami in 2008.

it seems like the only potential trade partner for a move up in the draft would be the portland trailblazers.

but is the 4th pick too high for brandon roy?

if we did happen to trade with the blazers and get the 4th, what if tyrus thomas, bargnani, gay, morrison, aldridge, etc are still available? do we still pick roy?

i'm a huge fan of brandon roy, but it'd be really nice to get thomas or gay imo

Roy can post up pretty well and has a great court vision. I think Phil wants a 6-5 or 6-6 guy who can post up the PGs in the paint. I´m sure Brandon Roy is a great fit for the Lakers. He might have some speed issues against PGs but we know how Phil Jackson doesn´t care about that.

if we somehow get him in this draft, there's no way we can get Banks.

We're gonna have to spend the MLE on a big man (PF)

banks plan A + PF for mihm

roy plan B(meaning mihm is traded to acquire the pick) + PF from MLE

that's what i'm thinking... that's what my plan would be if it i was mitch...

but using a 4th pick on roy is a waste IMO... one of the possible number one picks will still be availible... either adam, lamarcus, andrea, rudy or even thomas...

and i would take any of those over roy any day!!!!! (i'd love rudy or adam)

but who knows... roy must have WOWED phil and mitch so.. i guess i am in no position to cirticize roy since i did not see the workout...

Anyone got like a video of Roy playing? I've never watched him play, so I'm curious to see his game.

god nobody watches college bball?

roy is the most nba ready. his game is polished and ready to contribute. sure his upside isn't as high as a swingman like rudy gay, but he's ready to play.

he is better than Duhon.

We should really try to get him, but I doubt that anyone is stupid enough to hand the Lakers a top 10 pick.

Brandon Roy is an amazing player, a do it all type of guy, would love to have him on the team. Anyways, here are his stats while he was at Washington: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/pr ... erId=11305.

I love the improvement show, has been a four year player, tourney experienced, and NBA ready, i hope the Lakers do whatever it takes to get him in Los Angeles
