http://www.nbadraft.net has a mock draft showing Lakers selecting Sun Yue for the 51st pick.

2005-06 ABA first round playoff game: beating Fresno Heatwaves in Maywood, CA. 21-year-olds Zhang Songtao (7 footer) and Sun Yue (6-9 point guard) are heavily scouted by the NBA.

The ABA looks like a league where Von Wafer and Sasha Vujacic would like Jordan and Bird. Seriously there was like 25 ppl in the crowd...my old high school got more ppl going to the bball games there and i'm from canada haha.

Hmm kinda interested. Has more passing ability then either Sasha or Smush and actually tried to play D which is plus. For a second round pick I wouldn't be upset if we got him.

It was neither a criticism nor an endorsement. His style is very And1 for an international player, which seems very rare. He certainly has nice handles, looks to pass a lot, and plays D (at least blocking shots).

i fully endorse this pick at # 51.... 6'9" with shot blocking and pg skills is rare not sure if he has a J but looked ok on D looks like a good triangle gaurd. i'm curious to see what sky has to say about him...

Kinda hard to guage his skills watching this video. He may look great against these scrubs, but could end up getting torched by Sasha in camp. :man11: If anyone is interested, they're going to have to work him out over the summer to see what he's really all about. As of now, nothing special.

http://www.nbadraft.net compares him to Boris Diaw.

It would be funny if he does turn out to be a Diaw type player. :man10:

at 51, I think its something that at least needs to be thought of. This guy is intriguing if nothing else.

Too slow for the pros imo. Wasn't that impressive to me

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."
