Suns moving into the lottery?

Postby JSM on Fri Jun 23, 2006 12:29 am

Draft Express: -Expect the Suns to find themselves in the teens on draft night, as high up as 13. The Sixers are supposedly willing to move down in the draft in return for the #21 and #27 picks, although the Sixers are somehow hoping to squeeze Leandro Barbosa into the deal in place of the #21 pick.

-Players the Suns are rumored to have their eye on is growing by the day, and now includes Hilton Armstrong and Ronnie Brewer along with the already known Thabo Sefolosha, Saer Sene and Rodney Carney.

Everyone of those mentioned players would thrive into Suns system.
But I also wanna see Lakers moving up, cuz I wanna Roy/Gay/Brewer...

If the rumor that Marion for Chandler and the 2 is true (funny how idiot Bulls fans would love that trade but think Odom and Mihm is too much, even though head to head Odom dominated Marion in the playoffs), then I think Phoeix is targeting someone at the top of the board. Maybe Aldridge or if they see Tyrus Thomas as a 3?

i thought the rumor was just marion for chandler.

if it's chandler and the #2, marion is being intensely overrated.

Yeah, the rumored deal involves the #2 for sure. I've never heard it mentioned without the pick involved.

My God, aren't the Suns talented enough to not have to move up?? Their team is as deep as they come, especially when you add Amare next year from injury.

Marion is an overrated player. He fits the Suns style perfectly, once he leaves that system he will not be as effective. He has a track record of being shut down in the playoffs, just look at what Bruce Bowen did to him three years ago and Odom this year. He is not a half-court player, just does not have the skill set.

I agree, he cannot really create for himself and relies on a good distributer to capitalize upon his enormous athletic ability. Although his shot does drop decently, if is a flawed delivery and he really cannot rely on his jumper. He is a pretty good player, but not great.
