Suns want to move up

Postby JSM on Sun Jun 18, 2006 2:24 pm

Draft Express: Multiple sources over the past week have informed DraftExpress that the Phoenix Suns are looking to package both of their first round picks (#21 and #27) to move up, likely into the teens portion of the draft. The two players they are reportedly most interested in are Rodney Carney, Saer Sene and Thabo Sefolosha. There are rumors that the Suns might even try to trade with Chicago and move up all the way to the #2 pick, a deal which would most likely involve Shawn Marion.

Wow, if they got Carney... :man4:

Nash would make him rookie of the year, easy.

#2 Pick for Shawn Marion..hmmm

Suns with Ben Gordon or Tyson Chandler...

I think Sear Sene would be sick with the Suns..

Either Carney or Sene would be killer for Phoenix.

Chandler isnt fast or athletic enough to play with the Suns. Hes not an offensive force, and whatever he gives you on that end is in the half court. Stodamire works in Phoenix because he can run very well. If Phoenix is targeting Carney, Utah may be interested in both picks for the 14, seeing as they talked to NJ about the 22 and 23.

the suns can trade marion for chicago's #2 pick(tyrus thomas) and duhon

they can also trade 21 and 27 for orlandos 11th pick(rodney carney)

pg - nash/duhon
sg - barbosa/bell
sf - diaw/carney
pf - tim thomas/tyrus thomas
c - stoudemire/kurt thomas

THIS IS IN PHX PERSPECTIVE, THIS WOULD MAKE PHX AN IMPROVED TEAM AND THIS WOULD JUST MAKE IT TOUGHER FOR THE LAKERS

(they have 3 thomases now lol)

Tyrus Thomas would be amazing alongside Steve Nash...ROY no doubt. His athletcism will make him a perfect target on the break.
