Recap:

1. Mitch said they will take the best player in the draft when they pick.

He did not give any indication that they would trade up.

He is satisfied with the front court, so they will likely draft a guard.

2. Slam Magazine rep said:

They don't believe the Lakers will make a move because the Lakers like their team and they don't have the pieces to make a serious move.

Anybody have a full transcript of what Mitch said? I am curious to know what if anything he said about Lamar Odom's position and the Mihm, Kwame, Bynum situation at center.

I don't have a transcript, but all he said about them was that Kwame's true position is at center. Also, that they still have high hopes on Bynum because he is 18 and is in the gym everyday. I got the feel that Bynum has to show something this year in order to give the Lakers a reason not to package him in a trade next year. Based on those feelings expressed about Kwame and Bynum, I have to guess that Mihm is the odd man out.

Thanks for the info. I hope Bynum is actually ready if they do trade Mihm. I think I am probably the only guy who really has reservations about LO playing PF again. That is me and Lamar I guess.

We will really need to hope Bynum is ready for some heavy minutes. All it would take is one sprained ankle and Bynum is starting (if we move Mihm that is).

ROFL the Lakers like their team? on what [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] circumstances do you like you're team when you're considered mediocre? [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. Thanks for recap lotus. :jam2:
I'm glad that we're not going to trade up by giving up key player (Lamar).
and I think this isn't so strong draft to give up LO, I'd agree to trade him in package with Bynum for next draft's #1 pick to draft Oden... :mhihi:

The bold is the key sentence!! What would you want the Lakers Management to say. That their teams sucks and they cant do anything about it.
