I don't think it would be a mistake to draft Gay in the top three. I actually think that he's the most talented guy in the draft.
I think Gay suffered last year from the fact that he played with so much high level talent. That team was full of players who wanted the ball every time down the court.
I could see Gay down the road as a great second or third option on a championship level team, a la Glenn Rice or James Worthy. Then again, he could be Shareef Abdur Rahim.
I wish we would come up with a trade for Garnett that includes Minnesota's first round pick and we draft Gay. A nucleus of Kobe, KG, and Gay wouldn't be half bad.
