That's a good group of dunkers right there.

I'm glad they added two more contestants to the dunk contest, 4 was just too few. I'm interested in seeing if James White has the same bounce and what kind of dunks the Manimal will do. I always thought of him as a power dunker. Overall, it should be a good dunk contest.

Eric Bledsoe?! On a team with Deandre Jordan and Blake Griffin, Bledsoe comes out? What a joke.

Other than that though, this is a pretty solid list of competitors. Should be Gerald Green and James White squaring off though. It probably won't be as big of a ratings draw as previous years because none of these guys are superstars, but it should be one of the better actual dunk contests for the dunking as James White is already a pretty seasoned dunk specialist and Gerald Green just simply jumps inhumanly high.

But then Jeremy Evans is no slouch either and Faried isn't called manimal for nothing. Bledsoe though?! that's like putting Jodie Meeks in the contest.

Not in the company of guys like James White and Gerald Green who get their heads at and above the rim, I mean sure, for a 6'1 guy Bledsoe has some bounce, but mostly he just has long arms and good timing, but he by no means stands out from almost every other 6'1-6'4 guard in the league dunk wise.

I wonder if James White can still do the between-the-legs from the free throw line dunk. He pulls that out and it's over.

^^There are a bunch of throwback videos of White doing some insane stuff. I dont know if its in the video you posted, but I saw one where he was playing overseas and he did a between the legs from the FREE THROW LINE....and he made it look SO easy. Don't know if he still ahs the athleticism but he definitely has some serious hops.

These guys can jump out of the gym, Green, White, and Evans alone should make it worth watching.

Ross has some pretty sick hops too. I'm picking Green to win it though.

What sets James White apart is that he's actually trained as a DUNKER before. A lot of guys got lift or some style or whatever but combine that with actual focused attention and creativity and you really get something special.

This is going to sound corny but I honestly think of dunking as something of an art form. There are guys who can get their head to the rim but can't make a windmill look good, or guys who just barely get the ball over the rim but can still windmill and make it look right. The simple fact that you can get 10 different guys who can all do an eastbay and get 10 completely different dunks out of it combined with all of the variables, I think there's a lot to be said about it as more than just a thing.

It's why you see guys like Team Flight Brothers making such a big scene of it on the web, because there truly is "something" there. I mean, maybe not a whole lot, maybe it's still somewhat limited in the big picture, but still, I think there is still a lot of uncharted territory as well as ways to make well known dunks special again. Also, I can't speak for anyone else but I honestly, literally never get tired of dunks. I still get the same [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. So, with that in mind, I think, so long as James White is feeling light that day, it's his to lose with Gerald Green being his closest competition.

really bummed DeAndre Jordan declined his invite into the dunk contest.

James White should be the favorite. I would guarantee a win for him, but he's a little older now.

But if White can do that between the legs from the free throw line dunk again then he should win it all.

I think Ross and Faried are going to be exposed for in-game dunkers.

The rest of them have a legitimate chance to impress.
