He actually lit up the summer league for the Clips. I thought for sure they were going to pick him up as a backup to Butler and Hill but ultimately they decided to go with Barnes.

I was watching some highlights of him with the Bobcats. He actually wasn't that bad. What happened?

Which I guess makes sense since they weren't bringing back Kenyon and needed an a**hole. But Barnes is really a pretty average to below average player when it's all said and done. All work and really not very much talent.

But for that team I think Morrison would have fit better honestly.

Luke Walton crossed him up causing a bad knee injury. Yeah, it sounds funny but really isn't. I'm glad that he is getting another chance. He did and does not cause problems on every team he played on. Morrison is eccentric but not a wacko like some players in The League.

That's a pretty common misconception actually. He was god awful as a Bobcat with cringe worthy efficiency.

His full year with the Bobcats before his injury he posted:
Minutes per game- 29
Points- 11.8(on 12.1 attempts per game)
Rebounds- 2.9
Assists- 2.1
Turnovers- 1.7
FG%- .376%
Free throw %- .710%
3 point %- .337%
TS%- .450%(League average is usually around .530%)
PER- 7.9(keep in mind the league average is 15)

Just absolutely mind blowingly bad numbers. He took more shots than points, horrific PER and TS%, historically bad raw FG%, mediocre 3 point and free throw percentages.

In that last preseason game against us, he looked like the Adam Morrison from Gonzaga. It's probably just mental for him. He can't handle the pressure at the NBA level.

All of the things he's capable of doing should translate to the NBA game, it's simply a matter of whether or not he has the guts to go out there and get it done. It seems to be a mental thing with Ammo.

He's been invited to the Blazers' training camp as a non-guaranteed contract. I hope he makes it.

He still looks like Randall "Pink" Floyd from the movie "Dazed And Confused"... :man10: He can play against second and third level Summer League talent. It is obviously a different level in the N.B.A. however.

Adam Morrison, poor defender, creative scorer, the skills are there but is weak mentally againsts NBA tier players and does not know how to adjust his shot against NBA tier players that are more athletic.

He seems to do better and play more confident when the offense is catered to him and he gets to do whatever the heck he wants. Otherwise, as a role player, he just struggles immensely. Unfortunately, no NBA team is gonna let him have the reigns on offense--too risky and almost certainly a death wish, barring some Jeremy Lin miracle.

Apparently he was cut today. So if what he said holds true, he's done as an NBA player.

He had a decent game against us, but he really didn't get enough minutes to really showcase his offensive skills. Too bad.
