Amar'e had MRI this afternoon. Same surgery he had Nov. 1. That came after his cyst burst.

NYK are 16-13 w Amar'e, 21-9 w/o him.

I don't know if they necessarily need Amare to be successful. They need more spacing. When Amare & Carmelo play together it tends to get a little too crowded in the paint, IMO. That's why I was such a proponent of Iman Shumpert for JJ Reddick for NYK. They need more at least 1/2 more shooters in that rotation, IMO. Space the floor for Carmelo and allow him to work in the paint without no congestion. Similar to the way Miami is setup with Lebron & Wade; once those two drive, they space the floor with shooters...
