I'm taking all 12 of those guys before I even think about Kirilenko. I cannot believe somebody referred to him as a top 5 SF. KeepBynum, for once, I agree with you.

Rudy Gay & Beasley are also guys I'd take over Kirilenko in 2012.

I also take this as a sign that the Wolves are not very high on Derrick Williams. I mean, Williams is a SF/PF tweener so what do they do this offseason? They traded for Budinger (SF), they tried to pick up Batum (SF... and tried to sign and trade batum for Williams, mind you), and then they trade away Wesley Johnson just for cap space so they can sign AK47 who is a... SF/PF tweener lol.

That's half of the league's SF's right there that I would take before AK47. I don't ever wanna hear that he is a top 5 sf OR a top 10 sf. He's not even close.

2 things:

1. i agree with others that this isn't good for williams. my question is: why? the guy didn't dominate last year, but i thought he looked like a legit nba player with room to grow. they're going to kill his trade value by burying him behind their two highest paid players, and they're probably stunting his growth as a player as well. just odd to use the #2 pick on a guy and give up way too early. kahn.

2. i LOVE kirilenko's game. his only problem has been health, imo. when he was healthy, he made utah a really good team, and when he wasn't, they were lotto quality. if he's healthy again, 10 million for two years is totally reasonable, and yes, he is one of the top sfs in the league.

$10m for AK is absurd. There's a reason I've been calling him AK-4.7 for years. He's not consistent, he loses interest very easily, and he is fragile. I don't care if you are a small market team or not, that's not a good deal for your organization. If they were healthy, they would have been 8th seed last year. With this signing, they are still an 8th seed.
