If you watched Bynum running back on D tonight, it was pretty plain to see he was just dogging..err jogging it. He certainly runs back faster on O though. :bang:

Heck I've seen Drew beat guards down to the basket before.....but that enthusiasm isn't there when it comes to defending. He was tired I'm sure, but tonight it was his show really, I think the Lakers were committed to feeding him the ball, and wanted/depended on him to have a big night. He was a no-show on both ends actually. He scored some points, but blew quite a few clean looks.

I haven't seen him sprint back on offense very well since November.

That was one heck of a blistering first quarter by Bynum. Bynum does superb as a primary option and that's encouraging to see knowing that he's the future face of the franchise. Good stuff.

His first quarter (and half) were fantastic. After that game I hope he realizes more rebounds = more shot opportunities. I also liked his effort defensively, he made Bogut look like garbage for most of the night.

He made Kaman look like garbage too (Kaman shot 37FG%), but unfortunately Phil had to leave Fish in too long against Baron Davis.

Kid was simply on fire today. Money.

Another great game. They should have been looking for him in the second half. That was the biggest error the Lakers made during the game. They need to get used to pushing the ball into Bynum.

They've dont that all season long. But Drew HAS to continue to be aggressive like this when Pau returns. Makes us THAT MUCH BETTER!

But Drew was really good. Keep it up!

GREAT game by drew, and again we forgot him in the second half and settled for a few too many jump shots.
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

with luke walton back, i expect the team to be much better at getting the ball inside to our bigs. knock luke walton all you want, but there's a reason why he's still in this league; he can flat out run a team's halfcourt game.

"The Kid" does it again.

I hate to say this but as soon as Gasol comes back, Bynum is probably going to be an unmotivated 3rd option again. His touches will decrease dramatically. He'll lose interest. I don't know what the solution is. I don't think they can co-exist and maximize their talents. Not enough touches.

It's obvious this guy is a 20/10 guy when he's option 1 or 2, but ask him to just pick up garbage and he seems to almost say, "Do you know what i can do. You want me to do that crap?" And i hear him. This guy is a great scoring center. He needs to be fed the ball 20 times a game. But with Gasol, Kobe and Artest, he won't.
Most teams consider going to the playoffs a success. Other teams hang up banners of division and conference titles on their stadium walls. In Laker Land, it's championship or bust. If we were to hang up every division/conference title we won, there wouldn't be enough room on the walls of Staples Center.

For all those that maintain metaphysical belief, maybe there is an astrological explanation for this. And sometimes there are simple rituals or Mantra one may do/chant to ward off injuries.

It's kind of undeniable. January is the month of Andrew Bynum. He goes from kid to superstar, like Captain Marvel. Shazam!!

Very good game from Bynum. I would have liked it if they looked for him more often. Hell, they could have run the offense through him every time down court, there was no one who could stop him. Obviously Ron and Lamar were also doing very well, so they deserved a few touches as well, but Bynum was dominant on the offensive end all night. Nice to see.

yeah, i get on him when he's lazy, so credit where it's due. he's been carrying the team the past few games. the net results haven't all been great, but he's doing more than his part.

I have a question for the All-star game. I drew a lock? im not sure how this works but hes 2nd in voting but can they really put Kamen in and not Bynum?

If he has a superb January without getting injured, he might get in. He's in no way a lock though.

It will depend on how coaches see it. Amare is the primary offensive option in Phoenix so he got in as a starter. Bynum just doesn't have the touches otherwise I believe he'd be starting.

Coaches can realize that Bynum is the best Center in the West when utilized as a primary or secondary option, or they could give it to Kaman who is currently the Clipper primary option.

Basically, since his touches took a nosedive when Gasol came back, the burden will be on the coaches to see the reality of the matter. Bynum would be the intelligent choice and Kaman is the statisticians choice. I don't expect them to toil over this decision though. It will likely be Kaman.
