The Lakers certainly can win this game. The Orlando Magic did not play a good game last night, and they won. In the end taking advantage of Garnett and his knee.

The Lakers can definitely win this game. Pau Gasol needs to play aggressively, and of course they have no one to stop Kobe Bryant. If they try to box him like they did a couple years ago, this team is far more talented than it was and can give him the space and help that he needs.

First off, tonight Bynum will have to square up against Dalembert who isn't bad defensively. Brand might slide over to cover him too. With his height and lenght, scoring shouldn't be a problem. Then again, if Bynum is involved early...it sets him up the rest of the game. The rebounding, the contests, the focus...all follow.

Sunday? Bynum will have to prove himself against a top notch defensive center in Perkins. If he gets going early against Perkins it will do wonders for his confidence and whet his appetite for the game in other aspects. Bynum can certainly score OVER Perkins with that long reach and touch. If he lets Perkins frustrate him in the post with his physical play and spends more time whining to the officials then he could end up being ineffective.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

What a big time game by Bynum! Boston hates dealing with Bynum. He creates a serious problem for them.

That's what I've wanted all along. Bynum needs to be given more opportunities. Bynum is the key to beating the Cavs this year. Underutilizing Bynum is like handing the game to the Cavs.

I hope to see a lot more of Bynum. He will still have some ups and downs like any young player, but once establishes his groove he can carry this team. Give him more PT and allow him the opportunities.

This was the first game that I've seen from Drew where he's stepped up HUGE in a big game. Giant praises go to Phil for sticking with him over Gasol. Surprised me a bit.

Hopefully this is the first step in his growth toward becoming a GREAT player.

And how bout that FACIAL on Garnett!
