I'm not saying trade him.I was just saying how peeps on here jump on and off the bandwagon, when ever a player has a bad game. I read on another thread that the Lakers shud think of moving Pau, coz Bynum can take over roaming the middle.

amazing stretch by Bynum...

he is starting to become a beast and I knew he would get there, just the slow start made people think he wasn't worth the extension but he is beastin' it right now.

By the way, if you go by "last week average" in Yahoo! Fantasy Sports, Bynum is the highest ranked player in terms of efficiency.

Past 3 games: 22.0ppg, 13.3rpg, 4.0bpg on 62% FG and 86% FT

He's been unbelievable lately. I don't know how long he can keep this up, but it's great to watch.

Especially that 86% shooting from the FT, awesome.

I think this will boost his confidence, so we should expect more great games from him this year. Maybe he won't be able to give us 22/14 every time -- but he should still be huge for us. Now he knows what he can do, and frankly -- no one can really stop him. People are either too short, or not strong enough, or too slow.

He will be a real star in this league. To use his favorite word:

Definitely!

Bynum is just scratching the surface of his potential. The kid is still pretty raw overall and he's putting up some elite numbers based on size and solid fundamentals, but he still doesn't have the overall IQ for the game yet established. In 3-4 years he's going to be an absolute BEAST.

It's awesome to see the work he's put in start to come to fruition a little bit though. When he starts to learn better positioning, and when and where to pass out of the post. How to draw the double teams, etc. etc. Wow. The kid is going to be damn good.

Not to mention, as long as he's weight training in the off season, and he starts to get more explosive, he'll be able to throw down out of the post more, and open his game up to another level.

But till that happens, Drew still has to keep developing as a player. He still has a bit to go before we can dub him Andrew Byeast'em.

Of course, his help defense is amazing, but I still want to see his position defense improve (locking down the defensive boards and making the opposing center be less efficient offensively).

When this kid peaks, LA should have yet another HOF center on their hands. :vasashi:

Vash, when Bynum was finally taken off of Jefferson, AJ was 5-15 from the field. Then Gasol guarded him and scored most of his points against Gasol, save for a couple baskets in the 4th when it was all but over.

Like 10scott10 corrected me before, you are certainly correct about Drew and Al's head to head production. Drew made it tough enough for AJ last night.

Sorry for not being specific before, but what I truly want Drew to do, is get that killer instinct to shut his personal matchup down. When Kobe wants to shut people down, he normally can do that. He took it upon himself to guard Bron a few weeks ago and Bron barely made an imprint in that game. Of course Kobe got some help, but that too will be expected out of Drew. But I would like to see Drew coming into the game telling Phil that he will be the last line of defense in the paint, but if X center gets the ball in the post, help shouldn't come, cause I got him locked down.

I love what the kid brings, but I know he can bring so much more...and I'm anxiously waiting for that day to come.

so Bynum is an all star and Kupchak is a genius when Bynum plays good.

If Bynum has an off night tonight you guys would bash the heck out of him and call for Kupchak's head.

Can we at least be consistant?

On the bus ride to the airport after the game, a 112-111 Lakers loss, Bryant yelled out encouragement to him.

Bryant recounted the moment after Friday’s victory, saying he told Bynum, “You know Tim Duncan’s one of the greatest defensive players of all time. Ever. If you can do that to him, you can do that to anybody else.”

I'm very excited for the Bos / Cle matchups. A very good measuring stick. Anyone else here like it more when we play on the road rather than in boring ZzzZZzz staples?

For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

I was thinking before the game, that I hope he doesn't get injured, I guess God hates me cuz I prayed that he doesn't get injured .

I think I might have to become a Celtic fan just for Drew to say healthy and for the Lakers to win

This is so messed up.......This is so eerily similar to last year too. Drew getting into the groove and putting together a good stretch of games; then it all comes crashing down with a freak injury........

Awesome timing, especially considering I just bought my Bynum jersey.
