Andrew Goudelock Discussion

Well if Glock is official I am good with it. He has game, but Potato Head didn't let him be himself, I would think 'Antoni would be thrilled to have a scorer like this off the bench. That video of him in this thread, he looks like his handles have improved, and compared to most of our guys he looks quick and athletic.

I always liked that he never hesitated with his shot. He always thought he could score with anyone on the court, good or bad for the Lakers I like his confidence that he has in himself.

I always liked Glock. Meeks is useless, i'm more confident in glock hitting those open 3's

idk the answer, but I hardly think we would sign Glock for only two games and then say that's it.

I had thought March 1 was the playoff eligibility deadline. There were talks about raja bell to the lakers if utah waived him, but they didn't end up waiving him before March 1. Maybe it's different for players if they weren't waived by another team? Guess we'll see.

I think he's playoff eligible, he wasn't released by a team past March 1st because he's not with a team. What just hit me though is will he even get to play? I can't see the point of signing him if he doesn't play, but man I will be pissed if Morris and Duhon play and Glock is only brought in for insurance if one of them goes down.

Glock is cold blooded. That might come in handy if we make the playoffs and we have some players pissin' down their legs.

Nash/Blake
Goudelock/Meeks
Metta/Jamison
Gasol/Clark
Howard

Those are some shooters we can put on the floor. And we know Gasol and Howard can hit them for triples. Hmm...

Hey guys, at least Goudelock is a better 3-pts shooter than Jodie Meeks right ? :man12:

MDA gonna love him.

Before we signed Glock, I made the comparison of this years team right now sans Kobe, with the Orlando Magic team that made the run in the playoffs. Glock helps that comparison a lot. If we get into the playoffs, we aren't going to be playing suffocating defense, but we can hope that this team does what the Magic did and get hot from 3 and ride D12 to play some DPOY defense.

So we're bringing him in for the last two games? i'm pretty sure he isn't playoff eligible.

Hes playoff eligible!

http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2012/03/playoff-eligibility-for-late-season-additions.html

A player signs with a team after March 23rd, having not played for an NBA team yet this season.
Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: After playing in China, Patrick Mills has returned to America and signed with the Spurs. Because San Antonio is his first NBA team this season, he'll be playoff-eligible, regardless of whether he finalized his contract before or after March 23rd. A player who has been a free agent all year long, such as James Posey or Michael Finley, could also sign now and be playoff-eligible.

I'm glad he's back guys but we might temper the enthusiasm just a little here.... unless he's improved a ton he's still a fish out of water at this level and almost useless if he's not hitting the 3. Meeks has outperformed anything Goudelock ever did for us.

If he comes in and hits 3 out of 7 shots while not giving up twice as much at the other end I'd be happy.

He has improved, for sure. But will that be enough to help us win both games?
