Courtesty of youtube, I'm watching the last game Glock played with the Rio Grande Valley. It's a D-league playoff game. The only 2 players on that team who have any talent whatsoever are Glock and Glen Rice Jr. And Glock is better than Junior. Junior has NBA height, but needs to work on his PG skils and his defense. It's one thing for a midget like Glock to suffer on D. Guys like Junior have no excuse.

I've watched that one as well. That game shows just how huge the jump from the D league to the NBA is. Glock does well in the game but as you noted.... different level of competition.

Hopefully, he will be off the ball and allowed to spot up opposite Howard... that's where he can do the most damage at this level IMHO.....

Book it.

:man10: Swear to G I was thinking about that this morning.....what a great story if it happened. Hey he's always got he was the guy called up to add some scoring and offense for the Los Angeles Lakers trying to make the playoffs when the great Kobe Bryant went down. Would love for him to do well. I hope Kobe gets a chance to somehow talk to him today or text him before the game. Bryant sees that fearlessness in him. Gave him the Mini Mamba nickname didn't he? Do it Glock!! :jam2:

He better play tonight damnit.

If I have to see Morris run around like a chicken with his head cut off with his fake hustle and "layup" attempts, I'm going to lose it.

Stick to your guns MDA's, you love shooters, Glock is a shooter, let him spread his wings and fly like a peacock.

I hope he plays tonight as well. Morris has been rotting on the bench, Glock has been playing games and balling (in the D-League, but still), he should be ready to go immediately . And yeah, not surprised about the weight loss, he looks thinner, and even a little taller because of it. I just hope he didn't lose weight he needed against stronger NBA players, but lost it all in fat or something.

Andrew Goudelock is grateful to be back with the Lakers.
It's a grim time for the Lakers right now, but you can forgive guard Andrew Goudelock for being all smiles in the locker room before Sunday's game against San Antonio. After a season in the D-League playing for Sioux Falls and Rio Grande Valley, the guy was desperate to get back in the NBA. At long last, his shot has arrived. Goudelock looks good, and said he's lost 15 lbs since getting waived in training camp. He'll wear last season's "0" again, and said the wait for his call has been very difficult.

"I definitely got frustrated," admitted Goudelock. "At a certain point, I was getting kicked out of games, getting techs. It was just frustrating. I was scoring, like, 40 points and not getting a call up. I'm like, 'Man, what else am I supposed to do?' I had like 40 points and 12 assists. What else am I supposed to do? I'd be mad. Call my mom, like, 'What's going on? These other guys are getting called up. I just killed this guy yesterday.'

"But in this business, some things happen for a reason. You can't really be mad when things don't go your way, because as soon as you give up, that's when things start to happen for you. I just stayed the course and keep trying to win, keep trying to improve my game and let the chips fall where they may."

So desperate was Goudelock to hook up with an NBA team, he couldn't offer any details about his Laker contract when asked. He doesn't know, nor does he really care.

"They just told me, 'You're coming.' I said, 'Get me out of the D-League,'" smiled Goudelock.

Still, standards were maintained while pining for a change of scenery. Goudelock says he turned down several offers to play overseas because his first choice is the NBA and he wanted to see that desire through.

"I've always wanted to be in the NBA, so I got offers from China, Russia, Puerto Rico, places I could have went. I just decided to stay in the D-League, stick it out and see what I could do."

Only reason I can see no teams giving him a shot with the numbers he was putting up is his size, he's an undersized 2 and it's rare that they make it in the NBA. But I'm interested to see how he looks now, if he looks good I hope he can stay in the league, if not for us, with at least someone, dude can score, teams need that.

Undersized two guard who can't defend his shadow...MDA will love him. Maybe he'll play him 48 minutes a game since he's so well rested.

I trust his shot better than Meeks at this point, so he'll certainly help.

Well good thing we brought him on board.

I'm kidding. He's here for a reason, but he JUST got here today. I didn't expect D'Antoni or ANY coach to use him at all today.

^ and even if he was a better option than, say, Duhon or Morris, I understand MDA might have doubts about playing him on the first day because those guys were here first, and have been waiting for an opportunity to play. It's hard not to give it to them so you can play an unproven player who came here TODAY.

I hope he gets some time vs. Houston. There was some times tonight where we hit a couple rough spells where we could of used his shooting.
