mike browns an idiot. forget play off experience and a stupid 8 man rotation. glock was playing great for a rookie and balled in college. 2500 points in college on 62 others have ever done that. hes got the floater and he can shoot the 3. id take him at the 2 that blake whos too afraid to shoot and gives us 2 points 2 ast and 2 to on a great night. id rather have a guy who isnt afraid of the moment and isnt afraid to score in the playoffs than a guy whos afraid and is just wasting a spot so were playing 4v5 on offense and defense. rookies have more to prove and they want to prove what they can do. a vet like blake doesnt care as much bc hes already been through it and is okay with not doing anything. kobe, drew, and glock are the only true scorers on out roster and with the offense struggling as much as ours does in the 2nd unit its obvious to play glock. when you did he produced and can only get better. he gave laker fans hope and got us all going when he made a 3 or just a floater bc we ALL root for him and want him to do well. no one cares if blake gets 2 points bc we all know thats all hes gunna get, with glock were happy and know well get more from him.
mike brown needs to figure it out. blake barnes metta troy/pau/mcbob line up is utter crap and is consistantly losing leads and momentum for us. blake and glock gave you buckets period. blake isnt gunna shoot hes gunna pass and glock is gunna atack and shoot. cmon mb!
he isnt called mini-mamba bc he warms the bench well. hes a scorer and has proven it. let him be the back up sg with blake or sesh instead of a sf doing it and giving us 0 points when hes in for kobe.
in a stretch of 7 games at the end up January through the beginning of February where he play more minutes and was given a real chance outside of garbage blowout minutes. he gave us about 10pts a game on 49.5% from the field and 51% from 3. thats all we could want and more from a backup sg for kobe to get rest or even just to play with blake so our bench has some production and threat. when given consistent minutes he got into the flow and a rhythm that carried into each game he played during that stretch and then was never given the same consistent chance again and now in locked on the bench with DNP. with the amount of practice and time that has passed we can only assume hes gotten a little better and learned more defensively too.
just as some examples against playoff teams 2nd units and some starters too:
vs dallas: 6pts on 50% from 3, 0to in 10 mins in a win
vs miami: 7pts on 50% from 3, 1to in 10 mins in a win
vs boston: 5pts on 67% fg and 100% from 3, 0to in a win
in that 7 game stretch with more mins he gave us: 14,13,7,12,13,4,9 & 1to in each
