Did you catch last season at all? He was the lone bright spot off the bench.

Glock came in for 5 minutes and scored more points than Blake and Duhon did in 29 minutes.

He may not be a true PG, but he knows what he can do.

It'll be interesting to see if he makes the team or not.

Well, it was nice knowin' ya Glock. You might actually be the best bench scorer on the team, but as Mike says, it's not like you're scoring 15 ppg.

Morris shouldve been signed to a non-guar or partial, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Glock is much better.

if we want to we just can just cut ties with Morris. Basically pay the salary and open up the roster spot but I dont know if they'll do that

I'll only be disappointed if they tell me later today that Johnson-Odom is gone for sure as well. That one hasn't been released officially has it?

We have two 7 footers and two other guys who like to work around the mid post area and lower (Kobe and Jamison), dont you need shooters to space the floor? Meeks and Nash are the only pure shooters left on the team.

Does it really matter when he's the last guy off the bench? He's not going to get any playing time anyway.

I'll never really understand why some people were so high on him... His defense was awful and his offense came at the expense of others, not within the team's well-being. Sure, he had a fantastic shot, but after that his game was just not NBA caliber.

Where does our roster sit now?
Nash/Blake/Duhon/Morris
Bryant/Meeks/Johnson-Odom
World Peace/Ebanks
Gasol/Jamison/Clark
Howard/Hill/Sacre

Let's waive Clark and Morris and go get West when he's available.

Why would it matter if it came at others expense as long as hes productive? Blake and Duhon came off the bench to get others going and they cant create for others nor for themselves. At least Glock could put points on the board.

Im guessing Mitch is keeping DJO (he saw something in him to invest 500k to get him) but Brown probably wont play him lol heck he didn't even play him in preseason

Morris and Clark better be useful

Andrew Goudelock's agent Andrew Vye told me Lakers explained roster cut as numbers/salary issue. No surprise there.

No big loss to me, I just hope this means we'll keep DJO and at least give him a one season chance, he looks better than Morris anyway.

Last season...

Mike Brown on why he hasn't been playing Andrew Goudelock:

"It's not like he was giving us 14-15 points off the bench."

RIP Mini Mamba....good player but just didn't fit. He's not a PG, not a good defender and he's an undersized SG which I would easily pick Meeks and Ebanks to play before him. I'm not a fan of Mike Brown, but under this circumstance, there's no way he would have seen time on the court. Brown's MO is to keep his starting 5 on the floor longer than they have to be and his rotation stops at the 8th man. Glock was not in that 8 man rotation...and frankly, CDR wouldn't have been in that rotation either.

I think we might go into the season with 15 and retain DJO's rights by sending him down to the D-League. Yeah he takes up a roster spot, but at least this way, we may be successful in developing him into a PG (cause right now he's no different than Glock as an undersized SG). One thing is for sure, he could be a promising defender at the 1. So we'll groom him that way.

Meanwhile we'll put Clark, Blake, Morris and Duhon on the block and maybe we get some bites as the season progresses. At the worst, we can drop DJO before the January 20th deadline when his contract becomes fully guaranteed and pick up a free agent before we have to submit our playoff roster.

I think I am getting to the point with Brown Stain, where we would all be better off if we never see his face or have to watch him talk in front of the camera. He isn't funny when he is trying or not trying. And to kick a young player down who actually has some skills, right after he has been released is classless and stupid.

Noooo! the guy was money for us when he got minutes. I'd rather have him in the dleague for us just incase we need him. it really isn't about money bc his contract was so small and were making sooo much more money from the time Warner deal etc then our cost of salary.

he'd get better...as a SG. Who can come in and give you an easy 3 in a few mins. and considering Kobe is also a SF I thought it was a good idea to keep a SG who we've seen play big mins and actually contribute. oh we'll I'm sure hell have a better opportunity and coach who isn't trying to change what he does best on a different team. he's a SG who can score...hope some team lets him bc he'd help them out a lot

This sucks. The only way I feel better is if we keep DJO. Or sign Delonte West :man1:

Just doesn't seem fair that Glock is gone but a first-class, bonafide, Smush Parker-esque scrub like Morris is still here.

Because if he's productive at the expense of the team, then how is that helpful? If Blake puts up 5/3 that means at least 11 points from him alone. Others will also score for themselves so that's a few more (which is pretty much where we were at last season right?)

With Goudelock, all he's got is his 4 points a night and half an assist. That's a total of at most 11 points every two games. The production ISN'T there.
