Andrew Goudelock Waived: no longer a Laker (pg 23)

For all things related to our new three point sniper. Apparently he had a knack for causing "G Force-induced Loss of Consciousness" with his shooting at Charleston.

He can play D. Even though he's undersized.

He can shoot. Even with a hand in his face.

Decent backup shooting guard.

yeah GLOCK did very well, i was shocked when he entered the game though, didn't expect it, esp so early

I was hoping for a Gary Neal type player when we drafted him, looks like defense was also included with our guy whereas it was sold separately with Neal.

I was just looking at his combine results, and the guy is VERY athletic. Out of over 200 players:

- 3rd fastest agility time (missed 1st by .05 sec)
- 9th fastest 3/4 sprint time
- 37' vertical (stands 6'1 barefoot)

I think this guy has the physical tools to become a defensive stopper at the 1. He seems mentally up to the challenge, and he's with a coaching staff that can nurture him into that role. Combine that with his shooting ability, and he could be a keeper on our bench for sometime.

Like others have said, was surprised to see him so early, but he impressed me. Did a good job especially on such a big stage. Wanted to see Morris tonight but apparently he was on the inactive list. Unfortunate

Glock is as advertised though, automatic from the 3.

The young man has a good looking stroke on his J and isn't afraid to shoot. Now I agree with Brown who said that teams will know and will play him for the drive. I hope he can create at least off the dribble if they crowd him on the perimeter.

I'm definitely intrigued with him. I've been saying that I thought he was the one farthest from being able to contribute, but he proved me wrong here.

If he can continue shooting well and working defensively this kid is going to be able to stick around.

Everyone was talking as recently as 3-4 days ago that he wasn't going to even make the roster. But I had this suspicion that Brown couldn't turn down the money shooting stoke.

His defensive ability is more effort than skill though. I don't know how effective it truly is if he's having to guard a taller two guard...and in this league, most backup 2s are going to be taller and longer than him.

^Today they played him with Blake and had Blake switch to the 2 while he guarded the 1.

This kid makes me happy.

I figured he was a shoe-in for the D-League to get some reps in. I was also concerned about his defense. Turns out his D ain't all that shabby which automatically makes him our best option at the backup 2 IMO as Barnes and Kapono aren't really cut out to play SG. Offensively as a shooter I assumed he'd be ok in that department. His confidence also helps. That said, I thought it was bananas that the Kam brothers were talking about "he's gonna be cut". Between he and Morris and I figured Goudelock would be more NBA ready as a pure scorer.

loved what i saw from him today. and MB loves him already

i feel more comfortable watching Goudelock than Shannon already after 1 game lol

This kid can shoot, he deserves some minutes

I love what I've seen so far.

The thing that really impresses me is his effort (and success so far) on defense. He's a good shooter but also realizes he can contribute in another huge way by coming to play on the other end of the floor.

Goudelock was on Rose until Brown pulled him for Fisher.

we need to get Glock some more open shots. Dude' shot looks NICE!

I'm impressed with him so far. Was definitely surprised to see that he came in today, but pleased with the result. Looking forward to see more from him as he improves. Right now I feel like his (lack of) size is one of the biggest things limiting his potential.

He should have gotten more minutes.
