He's inefficient though. More shots with his inefficiency is bad news for the Lakers.

I'd rather have him shoot the ball then doing nothing on the court. If he is doing nothing, he might as well be benched permanently because he certainly is not going to be an awesome defender. Alright, he can rebound, true, but that doesn't exactly justify his presence on the floor. He has to at least be perceived as a perimeter threat so that Kobe, Pau and Dwight can get in a better position to score.

His Rebounding rate and numbers are great for the time he's been on the court

His rebounding is great so far, his shooting will come along.

I just realized, even Antawn is getting more rebounds per 36 than the Heat center. That's 4 players on our team doing that.

Yeah, he's a good rebounder. 8 RPG for his career.

If he plays at the 4 spot more his rebounding numbers will increase, hopefully our new head coach is able to take advantage of our stretch 4 next to Dwight.

The thing is we know he can do much more than just spot up shooting. Shooting 3s might actually be the worst part of his offensive game. I want to see him posted up or involved in some ISOs. He's playing against bench players and he's no longer a focus of other teams defense so it should give him a mismatch advantage most of the time.

Good. Just shoot the ball: threes, long J's, iso situations, whatever it is. I just want him to get few shots every game. I don't know about post ups if Dwight is there with him, but hey... maybe I'm wrong.

8 shots last game. i like that. i think he'll start shooting a better percentage and also in better spots as the season goes a long. but its good to see the improvement the second mike brown is gone. for him and meeks. they'll both figure it out...

watching backstage lakers whenever they talk to jamison its as if hes just chilling. he not worried. he knows what hes capable of and what he can give this team and will do it. its as if hes not trying to do too much when everyone else is trying to figure things out. hes just riding a long under the radar and he'll strike soon enough.

^^ Great play. It's the little things that make winning a lot easier. This was a play Trevor Ariza used to do a lot.

He'll play a key role for us before the year is over. He's a solid pro, and he's not done.

Give the guy a break.. He's stepping into a completely new role & has had 2 new coaches & systems introduced to him in 11 games.. He'll have you eating your words by playoff time when he's anchoring our bench.

I refuse to believe he sucks now, or that he's done or something, he's the same guy, and he's a solid player, something just needs to change. Not playing him the 2nd half though, not sure that's gonna help, he has to be getting frustrated and not happy about the role he's had here, not what he came here for. Then again, if he played better, I'm sure he'd play more.

The staff needs to find game plan to use him, or else he should just go straight to the bench. In whatever role he has been playing, he is completely useless. I don't think he lost all his talent in less than a year, something needs to happen.

I agree with those who say he still has talent, you dont lose the talent. But he just doesnt look as fluid as he used to look...maybe its because I only saw him 3-4 times per season through his career though.

He was supposed to be our main scorer off the bench or close enough to it. I'm not sure he'll be able to be that player seen as he looks really tired already and we are still in November.

I got an idea: Play Pau Gasol less minutes.

It's that simple. This guy gets killed all game long on defense. Give Antawn Jamison at least 6 of those minutes that Pau shouldn't be playing....go with Jordan Hill, Jamison, Ebanks, Meeks and Duhon. We need to give this bench unit confidence. I thought that's what we brought Dantoni here for....but he's killing Antawn right now.

If we seriously want to play Antwan Jamison as a small forward, then I rather let all his minutes to Ebanks or Clark and not to play him instead, this man is just too slow to play as a wing.

He sucked last year. This year is just more evidence that the guy is done.

The 17 ppg from last year was misleading. He was inefficient and was allowed to chuck (on a bad team) to get those numbers.
