Antawn seems to excel in this run offense. He can still get out there and run and im impressed with his cuts and rebounding.

Kobe said it best when they just want him to do what he's been doing his whole career instead of just spot up like he was before these past few games

I think Mike finally found out that Jamison is a stretch 4.... Guy has had two very solid games.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
In unrelated Antawn Jamison news: @KevinDing & I noticed that he puts his shoes on before his pants. Actually pretty efficient.

Heh. Also, never ever underestimate the power of desire. Jamison wants a chance at a ring real bad. That's why he took less money to play for us. He's giving it 100% even when he was struggling out there.

Can't say the same about Pau.

With Pau's tendinitis and D'Antoni wanting Tawn to play more 4...ladies and gents it looks like the inevitable is on the horizon...Tawn will be our psuedo-starting 4 with Pau being our pseudo 6th man.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
D'Antoni on Jamison (19P, 15R): “I think when we can get him at the four some it opens up his game. He’s 1 o/t best slashers and cutters."

It is extremely encouraging to see Jamison perform this well. Get even half this type of production from him consistently and it'll go a very long way towards keeping the Bench honest

Vash, where did you hear that Pau has tendinitis? If this is true, might be the best news I've heard all week. Anything to give more minutes to Jamison and Hill is great news for the Lakers. Pau should NOT be playign anywhere NEAR 36 mpg...should be btwn 28-30mpg with the depth we have at the 4 spot.

I just didn't understand Jamison at the 3 AT ALL....he had been playing out of position since TRAINING CAMP. So glad he's back in rhythm...and he can actually do a lot more than just spot up and shoot 3s. He gets second chance opportunities, he can run the floor...he can post up, he can face up....i hope we use him a lot more. I like that Dantoni likes him though. That's a good sign.

jamison and meeks will be the biggest beneficiaries of Pringles' system. We are already starting to see it.

Problem is, my boy Hill's minutes will diminish. And I don't like it. :mad1:

Problem with Pau getting benched is his balls will shrink completely. Pau needs to start. Just sub him out first, like at the 5 minute mark in the 1st quarter for Jamison.

I think Pau is entering Bynum territory...Howard/Jamison/MWP are doing extremely well together, unless Pau is assertive and really have it going he wont be finishing games

Good call. Jamison is quickly becoming our "Lamar Odom". Dwight would be our "Pau" from 2008...Gasol is definitely getting the "Bynum" treatment. If he doesnt' start out on fire, he is pretty much not gonna play in crunch time.
