Antawn Jamison believes right wrist injury won't affect shooting stroke
OAKLAND -- No matter how much treatment he receives on his sprained right wrist or tests it out during practice, Lakers forward Antawn Jamison concedes he has no idea how he'll feel once he steps court tonight against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.

But he sounded strongly confident that his injury won't negatively affect his shooting.

"If I had to change my shooting stroke again, it’s going to be a long night," Jamison said. "I wouldn’t be playing if I couldn’t play my style or do the things I do. I definitely want to put my team in a situation where I’m not hurting them instead of helping them. But I don’t think it will get to the point where I can’t do the things I normally do."

Sounds positive. Guess we'll see what limitations he has out there tonight, if any.

He looked great today.

Grabbed the wrist a few times tonight. Hopefully its not too sore when we play tomorrow.

He scores in an unorthodox way most of the time, so the wrist injury probably doesn't affect him as much... that kind of injury would ruin someone like, say, Meeks.

I couldn't imagine Meeks shooting being anymore horrible than it already has been.

He does very well when hes not getting punished on defense. Im rooting hard for him to reach a milestone 141 points away from reaching 20,000 points. Have to average over 14 pts a game over the next 10. You guys think he can do it?

How about that one man backcourt press that created a turnover. That was great :man10: :jam2:

If he's willing to come back for cheap I'd be ecstatic.

I'm sure he will. 1 more year for the minimum. He is a true professional and an important bench guy for us. Let's trade Pau for some youth and athleticism and keep Antawn.

He can have Metta's shots, so he has a chance.

Definite yes to having Tawn back next year.

Kobe’s killer quote of the night was likening Antawn Jamison to “a cockroach”: “He keeps finding the cracks.”

Jamison and his one good wrist came up big for us. With MWP out and Clark stuck in the quicksand for the rest of the season it seems, Twan should get as many minutes as he can handle. He battled through pain tonight too as long as he could. Looked like he got hit on that wrist at least three times under the rim. He's an ultimate pro that better retire a Laker (after one more season in P&G).

Thank you Jamison, great game tonight with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and shooting a good percentage.

For the record, he said after the game that his wrist is fine (thankfully) and that its only when he's trying those weird flip shots that his wrist hurts. He always said that for the most part when he's shooting from the outside his wrist is pain free.

I really appreciate this guy stepping up tonight when he was injured and still worked through it and came up big. That was great. He's a consummate professional. We need his scoring badly.

I really respect him going out there and playing as hard as he has, especially considering the amount of pain it looks like he's in at times. Keep it up Antawn!

Hurt the wrist yet again, but played through it and was very efficient with 13 & 5.

Even saw a smidgen of defense out of him tonight.
