now all we need is a backup PG. only bc I truly believe Glock can handle backing up Kobe for like 10-15 mins. If not then a combo guard like foye or west but I don't think Mitch is using the mini until after the Dwight saga

Lol Jamison is a boss. He basically told every team besides us to [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] off.

Exactly the type of guy I want playing for the Lakers.

Yeah I could definitely see us beating them. We nearly beat OKC without Jamison and Nash. Add those two guys and we're the best team in the West imo. Our bigs would give Miami's undersized frontline fits.

We didn't nearly beat OKC, people need to stop saying this it's such a loser's mentality. This is the kind of crap all those teams we beat during the repeat probably said.

? Both Game 2 and Game 4 went down to the wire, and we actually had both games in the bag before choking up and turning over the ball / missing shots / letting OKC score.. We could've very realistically been up 3-1 going to game 5.

You say that about nearly every series.

(Assuming you meant "You CAN say that about nearly every series -otherwise your post doesn't make sense-) I get that they beat us fair and square, and that the last couple of minutes are the most important ones, so in all honesty you can't say we should've won or that we deserved to win, but I don't see how you can deny that we were close..

Most games come down to the wire in the playoffs. There are hardly any blowout wins.

Nash and Jamison have helped address our biggest problem last year ... floor spacing.

As a result, their impact will be more than what shows up on the box score. It should open things up for everybody.

Mike Brown no longer has an excuse if this offense looks incompetent next year.

We just got 1100 points and 400 boards...for $1.3m

Meanwhile, last year we were paying:
Luke Walton $5.7M - gave us 12 points, 14 boards
Kapono $1.2m - gave us 54 points, 14 boards
Murphy $1.3m - gave us 188 points, 191 boards
McRoberts $3m - gave us 138 points, 171 boards

That's $11.2m spent on 392 points and 390 boards

Nice move, Mitch.

Major props to Antawn for taking the minimum to play here when he could have demanded more money elsewhere (or from us for that matter).

Shows that winning is the only thing on his mind at this point, and when we're adding role players thats exactly the mentality that we need players to have.

Just look at the 09 Finals. We blew out the Magic in Game 1 but Games 2-4 were all really close and people kept saying the Magic should have been up 3-1. The fact is elite teams execute down the stretch and the bad teams blow it. That's what we did in nearly every game against OKC. Being "close" to winning a game doesn't mean anything really.

I'm not surprised.

We're the only contender that basically is telling him "You are our go-to guy off the bench. Take as many shots as you want. Score! Score! Score!"

Antawn Jamison on a one-year, vet minimum deal is a steal for L.A. Low-risk, high-reward signing. Last year, he averaged 17.2 pts, 6.3 rebs.
