The young big guys in this league can't stay healthy.

Wow. That sucks for Lopez and Brooklyn. That's a huge void on an already struggling team.

To add to this bad news, the Nets can't even tank this season with the loss of Lopez. Atlanta can switch with the Nets this year in the draft.

It's going to be a long season in Brooklyn.

So, they're probably going to need a big. We'll take Deron.

Just in case people were hoping Brooklyn might start playing better and could possibly contend with IND and MIA in the playoffs, forget about that now

The guy wasn't playing too bad from what I understood. Nets are snakebitten for sure.

eh, lopez had a history of foot problems when they signed him, which is part of why Orlando didn't deal with them when howard tried to force it. beware big guys with foot problems; never turns out well.

So now it's guaranteed that there are only 2 good teams in the East, wow. Any shot the Nets had at turning it around is gone now. It's a great time to be LeBron James, weakest competition in the history of the NBA.

^^^^ BK wasn't going to turn it around with or without Lopez though ... biggest waste of 180+ M in the history.

Why wouldn't you want Deron Williams? Fearless, clutch, floor general who's young and has almost single-handedly led teams to winning records with the Nets and Utah and 51 playoff games.

He's put on a little weight and has had some injury concerns since going to New Jersey.

But he might be a more enthusiastic player in a new environment.

It would cost them 3+ million to add someone to the roster for the rest of the season minimum of 600k. :man10:

Haven't they got rid of a lot of their draft picks from the next few seasons?
