Bucks react to D12 trade, ink Przybilla to counter-attack

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have signed free-agent center Joel Przybilla, maintaining an offseason push to beef up their frontcourt.

The 7-foot-1 Przybilla returns to Milwaukee for his second stint with the Bucks after beginning his career with the franchise.

The ninth overall pick in the 2000 NBA draft by Houston, Przybilla was dealt to Milwaukee in a draft-night deal in exchange for Jason Collier and a future first-round pick.

The 32-year-old Przybilla has averaged 4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 580 career games split between Milwaukee, Atlanta, Portland and Charlotte.

Earlier this offseason, the Bucks added center Samuel Dalembert in a trade and drafted North Carolina power forward John Henson in the first round.

Not a bad pickup for a city no one wants to play in. They have a slim shot to sneak into the playoffs next year. What's the saddest part of this all is that teams were fighting for him. How awful is your off season going when you're the GM and you're legitimately disappointed cause you got burned by Przybilla

Looks like more of a counter to Andrew going to the east, than Dwight leaving it.

Well by our standards it sucks big time. :man10:

But we're the team that just grabbed two players ranked in the top 5 of their position (Howard is the 1st obviously).

Other teams are trading Corey Spaghetti and signing Anthony Randolph.

compared to phoenix i'd say dallas is a big market, definitely if you compare it to milwaukee which along with charlotte is probably the NBA's smallest market
