The bulls practiced at ucla yesterday. After I went to class, I checked it out and got some pictures of them as they left practice to their bus:
Boozer was the first to come out. Someone asked him when he was coming back from injury and he said "2 weeks!" He was extremely nice, he took out a lot of time to sign autographs and take pictures with us even though the manager was telling him he had to get to the bus. He said "Aren't you guys supposed to have class right now?" and joked around with us. Really humble guy.
When Korver came out I yelled out "Korver! One of the best shooters in the NBA!" He laughed but then he headed straight to the bus.
When Scalabrine came out, he noticed a student wearing a Heat shirt and called him out, he yelled out "Bandwagon fan" to his face then walked away, we were cracking up!
We were all waiting for Derrick Rose but he was the one player most focused on getting to the bus without interacting with us much. A couple lucky people got his signatures (my friend got him to sign his phone) but other than that, he wanted to get straight to the bus and the managers around him were fending us off to stop bothering him.
His knees were extremely taped up but he was walking totally fine. He looked like he wanted to get business done for the game tonight.
Luol Deng was extremely nice. I walked up to him like nothing and easily asked for his autograph. I said "Thanks Deng I appreciate it" and he goes "No problem."
Gibson and Brewer
Seeing Noah was the best part of the whole thing. He was the last to get to the bus and he was walking alone. I took a couple pictures with him and asked for his signature, and he just wrote "Noah #13" with a huge happy face on it. I told him "We love you here in LA man, you gotta come to the Lakers" and he was cracking up, saying "Thanks man, thanks man." Then I was like "We love the way you stood up to Lebron!!" and he said again "Hahaha, yeah appreciate it." He was such a cool dude, definitely a good guy.
This was yesterday, and Rose, Noah, and Boozer actually came back to ucla again today to practice a little more. Let's see what they bring to the game tonight!
