Would really make things interesting if Dwight comes back, we get Jose & Morrow.. All of a sudden we're much more attractive to any FA's out there that are undecided.

Hopefully Calderon understands that Pau's on his way out if we're able to re-sign Dwight.

Well, bringing in a player under false pretenses isn't a way to inspire him to do his best.

Well, if he wants to play with both Dwight & Pau maybe he would be ok with getting half of his wish. It'd be a great situation for him. What pass first PG doesn't want to play with the best C in the game? Also with Earl Clark gone, I don't think it's a sure thing we trade Pau.. Now we can't trade him without getting the pieces we wanted before + a starting PF back.

I think you're right - Gasol was likely to remain here anyway; without Earl, he's almost certainly staying. All that said, if Calderon says, "I'm so happy to play with Pau and Dwight" and we don't say, "Oh, Pau's gone" and then we trade Pau, that's bad business.

Wonder if this is Pau's way of helping us keep D12? Get his buddy Calderon to float the idea that he'll come to the Lakers if Dwight returns..

How about "Calderon interested in defense"

When you guys say his defense is bad...who can really guard the top PG's one on one anyway?

You guys would be foolish to not think Calderson is a HUGE HUGE upgrade in our guarding position. He knows how to run a team, and can hit the 3 ball with great efficiently. You guys do remember these Euro guards who plays for their national team are all pretty good respectively.

Rubio, Manu, Pablo Prigioni, Carlos-Navarro, etc.

They can run a team without turning the ball over, and we struggle with turnovers because we had guards who are not...point guards at all.

(Morris, Glocke, Blake(steady backup but still can't run a team like a general)

Yes to Calderon. The guy is quick, talented and is a great shooter.

He's a great PG, can make the necessary pass to Dwight, can play somebody else free. Would love to have him, especially with Pau here but... yeah it depends on whether Dwight will resign.

People are out of their minds to say no to this. He's an actual talent and a real floor leader. So he's not a defender. So what? His offense will make up for that.

A rotation of:
Nash/Calderon/(maybe Blake)
Bryant/Morrow/Meeks

That's a great rotation offensively. Defensively we could use some help... But that's why we need to re-sign Howard and why we're interested in Kenyon Martin.
