Even Calderon didn't want to wait for Howard to make up his mind.

With Calderon signed, they have about 13 mil to offer Bynum, who is rumored to be part of their plan b.

They could free up some extra space by dumping Carter or Marion.

I don't see how we were ever in the mix with the contract he just got.

new cba, nothing new in terms of contracts to mediocre players. the mavs desperately needed a pg, though.

FOUR years for Calderon seems a bit much.. Especially at that price

While I am surprised by the contract length, I had Calderon's value at between 5 and 8 million per season. $7.25m seems about right actually...on the higher end, but definitely still within market value for his shooting and passing skills. I'm telling you, we aint getting NO ONE of any NBA level talent this off season.

We might have to swallow our pride and beg Devin Ebanks to start at SF for us this season, depending on if we amnesty Artest, and WE SHOULD.
The End is nigh. Time for a total Cut and Shuffle. Kobe contract was a mistake...time to avoid making more. The future is here, whether we want it to be or not. An era is over, but for the death rattle, and it's time for the cycle to begin anew. Growth and change are scary and painful, but alas...nothing worth achieving comes easily.

yeah, I think I expected 3 years, 8 per for him, so 4 years/7per isn't outrageous. he'll probably be useless at the end of the deal, but he'll be impactful next year. Carlisle and dirk both love heady pgs, and they suffered last year without one.
