He averaged 12/7 last year in Golden State ... basically was a D-League call-up before that if I remember correctly.

In April he put up 15/9. He can score & is a decent rebounder but isn't too great of a defender. He has a three-point shot and can stretch the floor as a big man but isn't too consistent from out there.

He wouldn't be a bad pick-up for the minimum, but I think some other team will pay more for his services.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Shouldn't he be restricted free agent? I don't know. Too lazy to look it up.

The only drawback is he's not that great defensively. Amare absolutely posterized him this past season.

Don't know him at all. I'd rather have a grizzled old vet who knows his role in Thomas.

i remember him vaguely. I think he stuck a few 3's on us early, but then faded towards the end of the game. he's got a shot, but I really don't see much difference with him and Sasha. On GS, you have to divide the points by 2, and subtract another 4 pts to equate how they will perform on another real team. :man10:

every year Golden State calls up several NBADL player and let them showcase themselves in the Nelson free lancing offense...
guys like Azubuike, Rob Kurz, Tolliver, Williams, Morrow, etc....

I don't think he sucks but I think Phil would keep him off the floor and these guys won't be able to get any kind of production going in the triangle...thats why we should look for some athletic defenders because they can play in any offense and still contribute to the success even if they suck offensively.

I picked him up on my fantasy team. He was a guy who could score and could be a low post player in golden state. Him and Reggie williams were great d league pickups forthem last year.

I think he is out of the lakers rice range though...

Bad fit. You have to have 1 foot in the grave to play for the Lakers now.

Lakers Interested In Anthony Tolliver Again

Lakers Interested In Anthony Tolliver Again

Image

Free agent Anthony Tolliver told me Lakers have entered mix as possible team for him & he visited Charlotte Monday

Tolliver said the Lakers recently called his agent, Larry Fox, to express interest. He said talks are still preliminary but he would have definite interest if the Lakers turn out to be a serious option.

“Obviously, to have a chance to play for a franchise like that, you’d have to think long and hard about that,’’ the forward told FOX Sports Florida.

While he waits to learn more about the Lakers' situation, other teams on Tolliver’s list are Charlotte, Utah and Chicago. Tolliver said the Bobcats have made a contract offer (for the minimum) and he visited Charlotte last Monday.

During his visit, Tolliver met with general manager Rod Higgins, coach Steve Clifford and assistant coach Stephen Silas, once his assistant at Golden State. Tolliver said Silas and Bob Weiss, his assistant last year at Atlanta and now a Bobcats assistant, have been pushing for him to come to the Bobcats.

“Charlotte is an intriguing situation because of their roster and everything,’’ Tolliver said.

Tolliver, who averaged 4.1 points last season for Atlanta, wants to get into a situation in which he plays power forward rather than out of position at small forward.

Tolliver is going on vacation Sunday and would like to have a team chosen by then. But he realizes there’s a chance that might not end up happening. 39 minutes ago

It's less about stats than it is about the way he plays: with heart. He's decently athletic, he is a better shooter than his numbers the last couple seasons and he's a hard worker.

It'd be a better signing Odom.

Well, we could do worse at this point, and we need a PF, so I wouldn't seriously be opposed to this.

Not to mention he's about 6 years younger than Lamar.
