Cavs and Rockets interested in Granger

Sam Amico of Fox Sports wrote:Multiple sources believe the Pacers are looking for a taker for veteran small forward Danny Granger. The Cavs are interested, sources said, but have reservations about the knee injury that forced him to miss much of the season. If the injury robbed Granger of his explosiveness, such a move would hardly be worth the gamble.

If they're looking to unload, we're looking to take him. Nice to hear that. We've GOT to be looking at an option like this.

He's an expiring so I'm sure this would be a move that management would look towards. That knee injury does cause reason for concern, but I'm sure we would have our doctors take a look at him first if we were planning to go this route.

You could probably do it for pick & role player. RT @dennisgary: If teams believe Granger healthy what do you think his trade value could be

Three way trade. I mean c'mon. If he's that cheap then we HAVE to go for him. Send Pau out and we can get Granger AND THEN some.

once most of the teams with cap space strike out, guys like pau and granger will start to have value, imo. proven players who are a bit of a risk that's offset by having an ending contract. if i'm indy, i hold out for a bit; they may not have to completely give him away if they don't want to.

not sure if the rockets have what the pacers would want (hibbert/hill >>> asik/lin). would need a third team.

Well reports are that it wouldn't take much to get to Granger at this point. The Pacers are close to contending anyway and they could just use some shooters/scorers types. I'd think Parsons/Pick/filler could get the job done honestly.

Delfino / Brooks / Pick for Granger

I don't think Houston gives up on Parsons that easily for that cheap contract he is on.

Well at some point you've got to gamble, right? Granger is a SF anyway and he's a better player than Parsons when he's healthy. I'd have my docs look at him and if Granger checks out, I'll send Parsons packing.

Ive always like Danny
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

kills their cap space, as would any parsons/filler deal.

if they want to forego their shot at howard, then sure, they can definitely obtain granger. no problem.

Well this is obviously a backup plan for them. It doesn't hurt discussing what they could do or offer given this is the route they want to take.

I think Houston would be wise to go after millsap if they don't land howard. he'd fit in pretty nicely with what they do.
