Celtics Making Pierce Available In Trade Talks

highly doubt they'd trade him at this point

I don't really see why they would trade him but I could see a team in need of veteran leadership seeking him.

Can't envision him playing on another team.

Popular belief in Boston is to simply get to the playoffs and things will settle out there. For a veteran laden team of this structure, this mindset works for them. They displayed their efforts last year and had Miami beat until a Chamberlain-like performance in game 6 from King James. With that said, trading Paul Pierce might be the best move for the future because after this year, it's over. With Ray Allen playing for the enemy, the meter running out on KG, Rondo and Doc will be the bastion of what this great team was in 2008. Pierce can still garner some value in the market. I say build now.

If Pierce gets traded KG retires. Simple as that.

im pretty sure the celtics would laugh if the lakers offered gasol for KG

i wish they would have traded pau for rondo last year when the celtics were willing to do so. man that would have been a steal

From that team I'd like.. um.. well I guess no one really. Pierce doesn't help us at all. Jeff Green maybe, but his contract is awful.

Garnett would be interesting if they offered him, but I think he's more valuable to that franchise than anyone else. They love that guy. Heck it's not HIS name that came up as "avaiable in trade talks" it was the guy that's been there forever and that will go down as one of their great players.

Whatever team they trade him to needs to make sure they have proper wheelchair access to the practice facility and the arena.
